4. Party Rock Anthem
Characters: Party People
Content: Bolin hosts a block party in Twilight Town. Food, fun, and partying! Whoo!
Location (including world): Twilight Town, The Sandlot
Time of Day: Late afternoon and into the night
Warnings: Excessive partying?
Notes: Feel free to start your own sub-threads, thread-jack, and just have fun. Open free for all is the style for threading.
Bolin, with the help of Spirits, Moogles, and various other people had finally finished setting up the party. There were tables laden with different kinds of food of course and decorations everywhere. They'd made sure to clear a space for dancing and Perry the Platypus had volunteered to DJ with some equipment borrowed from the moogles for the night. Bolin wished there could be more people so they could have games and stuff like a proper street festival...but for what he had he felt it was pretty good.
Now they just needed people to show up for the fun.

Of course, every good party had good food, too! She walked over to the food booths and sniffed, not certain what to try (or what she could even reach from her position). She noted her housemate and gave him a questioning look. What here was good?

That was his cookie. He had it first. Now Val refused to give it back.
"Those probably aren't even good for you!" Emizel scrambled around to catch the Komory Bat but he was constantly out of reach, probably finding some amusement out of it too. As soon he felt successful enough at his thievery he landed on top of an awning and proceeded to nibble on his prize.
"... Fine, keep it," as jerkish as that was, it was not like there was more of them still on a table nearby.

Maybe it's not the best decision to have the latter, but he figures it's worth a try.

In fact, Barkley's running to greet North even before Xion can. Hello!
Xion's not far behind, though, with a smile that looks somewhere between amused and exasperated. "Hi, North."

He had Chuza and Kura with him, since they were the best behaved of his gang of Spirits (Soemon was proving to be very...exhuberant), just in case things went bad for whatever reason. He was hoping there would be no Nightmare problems, though.

Speaking of people who had not been to a party like this in many many, many, many years, Eraqus had been joined by a pony. Celestia, for her part, didn't feel she'd outgrown parties, but a Princess simply can't attend one without irrevocably changing its tone and nature.

As far as the Spirits he'd brought with him, there was little question that he definitely wasn't bringing the cat. He also couldn't leave Toxy alone with the cat if he didn't want to find the house trashed upon return. Bruce had access to sleep magic, however...
So, as Sora flitted around being a social butterfly, Jelly Bean and Toxy followed him around like a couple of ducklings and chatting between themselves about what they might find when they returned to the house. Sora himself was more interested in talking to everyone and as long as the Spirits were behaving, there were no issues.
no subject
Xion herself wasn't too far behind. She'd never been to a party before, but had at least wanted to see any friends who might be here. "Hi, Sora. Sorry about these two."
In spite of Barkley's tendency to, well, bark, they were the friendliest of hers that would be a reasonable size to bring into a group of people. Hence the reason she'd chosen them.

Hence she found herself on the edge of the crowd somewhat, looking around at the others and wondering where to start.
no subject
So naturally, when he spotted her hanging around the edge of the crowd looking a little lost, he had to approach, "Hey, don't be shy. Part of the point of a party is to mingle."

For now the demon chose to mostly wonder through the place that was bound to get the most attention, the food stands. As per usual his hood was sporting a pair of pink wings again since Val was too lazy to do anything on his own. Moxie simply trotted along the side, trying to avoid being tripped or stepped on.

The other booth, manned by a very brave Steven, is a goldfish bowl game. The object is simple: toss a ping pong ball into a goldfish bowl, win the contents. Instead of goldfish, however, these bowls have dream pieces floating in the water, enough to make a specific Spirit - you won't know what until you win it. The bowl in the dead center of the table has a much smaller neck, and the dream pieces in it probably don't look very similar to the ones the local Nightmares are dropping.
Step right up! It's two munny per toss and the prizes are good.
[Mods will determine prizes randomly, and yes, there is something rare and fun in the middle there. Good luck!]
no subject
Dream pieces generally didn't interest him that much. Another Spirit generally meat another handful to deal with. But these ones looked different than the ones he was used to. What could they make instead?
Maybe it was worth a try. Nothing else he might be able to sell the parts for later if he won. Two munny ain't much either.

The subject sat on a bench, hoping that she could avoid looking conspicuous and that soon she could go back to the boutique without incident.

The voice is almost unreasonably relaxed.
Then again, for the first time since before Lin can remember, she is not on display as head of the Republic City Police Force. There are no expectations in attending the block party, save to enjoy some food and mingle with people she (mostly) tolerates or even likes. Chell wavered between those two columns presently.
The grey haired woman glanced down at Chell, lips parting to offer - something, reassurance or a pithy phrase perhaps, but it was then that her pricklemane bounced in excitedly. Ohohohoh it's you! Hiiiii! It moved around the bench to greet ChellPerson, making purring sounds. It's a party, isn't exciting?? And look! Look! Ears wiggle to either side of a little conical hat sat on its head, with some colourful rainbow streamers protruding at the top of the tapered end.

So, if you're interested in talking to the platypus behind the speakers he might not say much but he has some jams he's interested in dishing out. Besides, what's a dance party set it Twilight Town without a proper remix.

[A spotlight shifted to the center of the dance floor and illuminated Bolin in the outfit Rarity had made for him. He was grinning.]
"For tonight's entertainment, I present the awesome acrobatic accomplishments of the Mini Fire Ferrets!"
[Bolin stepped back and Mako Jr. stood center stage before striking a poke. Bolin then cued the music and earth bent a mini obstacle course for Mako Jr. Once the course was set he tapped his finger.]
Hmm...not dramatic enough. Let's try...
[Bolin produced a blind fold and tied it around Mako Jr's eyes. The Hebby Repp squirmed a little bit and made a point of walking in a staggering circle to show he couldn't see. Once that was set up, Bolin whistled and Mako Jr. scurried through the course with relative ease: running between poles, balancing on a ball, and even walking backwards across a balance beam. When he was done he hopped off, did a flip, and landed in the same pose he started in.]
Ta Dah!

She reached over and plucked Fluffy off the table before he could steal one of the sandwiches nearby. "You can eat later." She said, ignoring his squeak of protest before he hopped up to perch on her head. "And we will go look around in a bit, Ducky. There will be plenty of time to see everything."

ridiculouslook, and he paused only to whistle for his Person before trotting towards the food tables.Ziva and Fluffy were immediately recognised, and the lizard immediately trotted their way - as much for the company as it was the food - and spiked tail twisted about to tip his hat politely. Isn't it /awesome/?

She'd already offered Spike a cookie, which he was chomping on happily, and was flitting from person to person, socializing with a smile. This was a lovely party, wasn't it?
no subject
He approached Rarity and offered her the cup. He would tip his hat but his paws were currently full.
no subject
Unfortunately for Carolina, certain folk had decided otherwise about that. After much arm twisting and attempts at bribery (and no small amount of wheedling from Dax) later, Carolina begrudgingly agreed - under protest - to attend the block party.
For one hour. No more, no less.
Dax had already made a beeline for the food section of the party when they arrived, the party already in full swing. Red hair was pinned up at the back of her head, though the sweep of bangs remained over her left eye out of stubbornness. Carolina was now rather grateful Rarity had insisted she keep the dress she'd 'casually thrown together' for her, in a colour that matched her armor's almost perfectly. If it was a little fancier than this sort event warrented, it would at least keep others offguard instead, and she strode forwards to look for any familiar faces in the crowd.

But after a bit of hesitation, he decided it wouldn't hurt to go to the party. It'd be a fair test of his dream eater's training, at any rate. And it might be interesting. He couldn't eat the food, and he was stuck in armor due to his body being the robot.
Maybe he'd run into the Freelancers and his brothers. Really, any Freelancer that wasn't Wash or any other friendly he's met would be nice.
Suddenly, his reflections were interrupted by him being headbutted in the back by his Cyber Yog. "Hey! Knock it off."
Allison started growling at the goat at that one. No hurting their person.
no subject
Nonetheless, a familiar chuckle was audible from behind Epsilon.
"I thought the point of a second spirit was to keep you out of trouble, Church. Not push you into it."
It might take the AI a minute to recognise the red haired woman, dressed as she is in a dress and not her almost ever present armor; head was tilted to one side, green eyes bright and thoughtful, while her now cyan-blue hebby repp, with a top hat, languished at her feet. (Said hat was tipped at Allison politely. Ain't Dax a gent?)

Kodachrome had been draped lazily around his shoulders while he wandered around trying to find the place, but as soon as they found it and 90s Kid considered showing off his gnarly moves on the dance floor, the Hebby Repp suddenly sprang up and made an excited beeline for the buffet, diving headfirst into a cake.
"Hey!" 90s Kid flailed after his Dream Eater, "Save some for me!"
no subject
"He's purrobably not going eat it all."

Maybe he can get away with standing at the edge of the party without having to interact with people.
no subject
But if it helps, the serious greyhaired woman dressed in dark grey and black who's chosen route brought her towards Emile didn't look particularly intimidated by his build. Clear green eyes narrowed slightly in consideration, before her course deliberately deviated towards him.
More military: the dream seemed to like plucking trained personnel and dumping them in with the civilians. "A recent arrival, aren't you?" Behind her, a pricklemane with a conical party hat trailing rainbow streamers hopped to catch up with his Person, and chittered at the hebby repp in a friendly manner. Hello, hello! Your Person's pretty big, gosh.

"Don't give me that look! I don't know if Spirits get sick but I am not cleaning up technicolor cat puke if they do."
Nicko squeaked indignantly, deciding he wasn't winning this argument, and turned with a flick of the tail to investigate the other guests and see if they had any food.
"Just play nice now," Liz called to him. Not that he'd listen; she knew how he was. She looked over to the dance floor. Not her usual kind of music but it was catchy enough. It'd been a while since she'd gone dancing, though she didn't have anyone to dance with.
...Not that she would have if Linkara was here. That man made Robyn look like Michael Jackson.
no subject
"Granted, mine always seem to fall into a food coma when they get full." She specifically motioned towards the bat flying around above. She didn't know about Ducky yet. She looked down at the Spirit hiding behind her legs. She really needed to get him over this shyness.
