4. Party Rock Anthem

Content: Bolin hosts a block party in Twilight Town. Food, fun, and partying! Whoo!

Bolin, with the help of Spirits, Moogles, and various other people had finally finished setting up the party. There were tables laden with different kinds of food of course and decorations everywhere. They'd made sure to clear a space for dancing and Perry the Platypus had volunteered to DJ with some equipment borrowed from the moogles for the night. Bolin wished there could be more people so they could have games and stuff like a proper street festival...but for what he had he felt it was pretty good.

Now they just needed people to show up for the fun.

"Not really. I guess we do now though."

It was weird, thinking that he actually had time to do things. He knew he wasn't going to disappear because of the mansion, so he really was able to enjoy himself more.

"Did you want to go wander around?"

Bouncer shook his head. They'd been too busy watching the ice cream, but he wanted to.

"I guess we do."

Not that Namine wasn't busy with her work at the tea shop and painting Spirits. Then there were lessons. Those all kept her occupied, but she always managed to find a few free hours in the day. She usually spent them drawing or practicing, but spending more time with the others or exploring might be nice, too.

"That might be a good idea. We could look at everything, and then decide what we want to do?"

Batty's chittering grew more excited. Oh, so they'd been working! That explained things. They really should take a look around, though, there were a lot of nice things.

"That seems like a good way to start," Roxas said with a nod. "Which way did you want to go first?"

There were too many decisions to be made, it seemed. It was almost over stimulating and there weren't a huge amount of people at the party.

Bouncer woofed, making the decision for them and bounding off to the food tables.

"I'm not sure. Do you think we could walk around once to see what's here, and then decide." There really was so much to do that it was overstimulating for someone not used to this sort of thing. Taking a moment to look at everything once before settling seemed like a good idea.

Then Bouncer took off in the direction of the food and Batty went flying after him. "I guess they know where they want to go."

"Bouncer, we were just there!" Roxas sighed. His meow wow had a bottomless pit for a stomach, he was certain of that.

"I guess we should go after them."

Spirits seemed to be hungry a lot of the time. Batty himself didn't need much encouragement to find where the food was and look for a snack.

"I guess so. At least it's a place to start?"

"I guess so. I've eaten already so I'm pretty full. What about you?"

After all the junk food he'd eaten, Roxas figured he should probably lay off for a bit.

"I just got here, so no, I haven't eaten."

Truth be told, Namine was a little hungry. It looked like Roxas might be outvoted when it came to stopping for food.

"I guess we can go get something then, or you can anyway."

Roxas probably wasn't going to need to eat again for a while, and that's saying something considering he'd a teenage boy.

"You don't mind? It won't take long."

Namine never had been a heavy eater, so she wouldn't need much. Whether or not the Spirits would was another story.

"It's fine, really. I mean you can always get food and then we can walk around, right? If it's not a big plate or something like that."

Namine nodded. "I think so. I'll be back soon."

It wouldn't be a big plate, but by the time she returned, she had a good sample of finger foods to eat as they went along. "Okay, sorry about making you wait."

It looked like Spot was making his way back, too.

"It's alright. It's not like you gone for long," Roxas said with a shrug. Bouncer bounded over and sat at Roxas's feet with a whine.

Namine and Spot are eating can I eat to?

"Really? I was worried, since there was so much, and it was difficult to choose." Namine smiled a little sheepishly.

Technically, Spot wasn't eating yet. he was putting all the effort he could into begging though. Namine couldn't resist a poor starving Meow Wow, could she?

"Yeah, I know. It was hard to make a choice when I was up there."

Starving? Roxas was doubtful considering how round the Meow Wows were in general.

"Bouncer don't bug Namine." But the Meow Wow would not be deterred from his careful observation of Namine's plate.

"Oh, he's not a bother." Though Namine was polite, there was no food forthcoming for the Spirits. Spot had been given a few snacks as she chose her dinner, and she wasn't going to feed Bouncer if she didn't know how much he'd eaten already. "I think we're ready to move on?"

"Alright. Can we check out some of the games? They look like fun."

Roxas had been eyeing them from across the food area and his competative nature was starting to stir.

"Okay. I've never tried games before."

They looked interesting, though, and possibly fun to try. Onwards to more adventures at the party it was.
