4. Party Rock Anthem
Characters: Party People
Content: Bolin hosts a block party in Twilight Town. Food, fun, and partying! Whoo!
Location (including world): Twilight Town, The Sandlot
Time of Day: Late afternoon and into the night
Warnings: Excessive partying?
Notes: Feel free to start your own sub-threads, thread-jack, and just have fun. Open free for all is the style for threading.
Bolin, with the help of Spirits, Moogles, and various other people had finally finished setting up the party. There were tables laden with different kinds of food of course and decorations everywhere. They'd made sure to clear a space for dancing and Perry the Platypus had volunteered to DJ with some equipment borrowed from the moogles for the night. Bolin wished there could be more people so they could have games and stuff like a proper street festival...but for what he had he felt it was pretty good.
Now they just needed people to show up for the fun.

Then again, Dax isn't half as charming as he thinks he is. He nodded enthusiastically when Ziva queried the source of his fancy ensemble, and he leant forwards to let both the bat and plant spirits get a better look at it. Once that was done, he straightened up and his tail curled round to mimic a bow tie at the base of his throat. Once came with the hat, but he thought it was a bit much..
His Person IS around here somewhere, that much is true, but seemed to be taking her sweet time getting there. Then again, there was quite a lot of food set out for everyone; even if Carolina didn't seem to eat much (definitely not enough, in Dax's glutton-biased estimation), surely there had to be something she'd like here.

"Since you are here, but Carolina is not, would you like something to eat?" No, she wasn't plotting to get Dax hyped up on sugar, not at all!

And then: the magic words. Almost immediately, the hebby repp bounced closer to the table, eager expression clearly answering the question.

"I will take this as a yes." She said, handing him one of the treats she had tried making for the Spirits. "You will have to let me know if it is good or not."

"Well, I will take two happy customers as good reviews."
no subject
"Why am I not surprised to find you eating already," sighed a woman's voice, Carolina stepping out from around several customers paying attention to a different booth. "He hasn't been causing trouble, I hope." Dax squeaked a happy objection at her, but the redhead wasn't looking.

Ziva looked up from the spirits when she heard the familiar voice. "No trouble at all, actually. I was using him as another tester."

Carolina then took the time to survey the spread, lips parting in faint surprise. That was a lot of food. "Did you prepare all of this?"
no subject
"I did." She said with a small shrug. "I had some extra time on my hands lately."
no subject
"Time well spent, by the looks of things." It was certainly a great deal more than Carolina could manage; years on MREs and little in the way of actual food for cooking meant her skills were rather lacking. She was impressed, to say the least.
Dax nudged her leg. His person should totally try something. And give him another treat while she was at it.

"I hope everyone enjoys them." She said, motioning for Carolina to take some, if she wished. "Cooking is one of my hobbies at home." Well, her main one, really, with what little free time she had there.

Lips pursed while considering her options. She wasn't greatly hungry, but it would have been rude to walk away without taking a plate of food with her. And what she didn't eat, she was fairly sure she could pass on to York when the man showed up again.

"Did you find time to eat in the middle of preparing all this?" Wouldn't do for the cook to pass out from not consuming some of their own handiwork, after all!
no subject
"If you want spicy, try this." She motioned to a plate of chicken wings. "You will probably like them. But, I would not give them to Dax, his fire may become slightly too hot."
no subject
"Been a long time since I had access to anything like this," she commented offhandly. "Thank you. For the effort."
no subject
"Enjoy." Ziva said. "And let me know what you think, it has been a while since I have cooked some of these things."
no subject
no subject
"Thank you." She said to the last comment. She really wanted to make sure her cooking skills were still up to where they used to be.

Carolina can appreciate that feeling, which was why there was simply a second nod of acknowledgement before she went back to picking at other foods.
