Bolin, with the help of Spirits, Moogles, and various other people had finally finished setting up the party. There were tables laden with different kinds of food of course and decorations everywhere. They'd made sure to clear a space for dancing and Perry the Platypus had volunteered to DJ with some equipment borrowed from the moogles for the night. Bolin wished there could be more people so they could have games and stuff like a proper street festival...but for what he had he felt it was pretty good.

Now they just needed people to show up for the fun.

Some of the initial negotiations had been difficult, but now Namine and the moogles tended to get along well.

She had brought some munny with her--earnings from the shop. A quick examination of what she'd brought indicated she'd have enough for the game and some balloons. After carefully counting it out, she handed it to him. "I think so. Can I have five tries and two balloons, please?"

Steven replaced ten munny with five balls and pushed the rest of the munny back at Namine. "Balloons are at that stand over there, kupo," he said, gesturing to the only other Moogle-staffed booth at the festival.

"Oh! I'm sorry. I'll get them afterwards, then." Namine accepted the munny and balls. Munny carefully put away for now, she took one ball and tossed it, aiming as best as she could for the center bowl.

"Not a problem, kupo." Steven watched as the ball sailed over the table, missing it entirely. "Ooh, tough break."

Oh, dear, it looked like Namine had thrown too far. Well, she'd never claimed to be athletic. One reason she'd given herself so many chances to try to win something at least--her skill at this sort of thing was questionable.

Time for the second try. This time she threw the ball a little more gently, still aiming for the bowl in the center.

The ball bounced off several rims before settling between two of them, getting stuck between bowls. "Rough luck, kupo. You're on the right track!"

Namine nodded. Now that she knew how hard to throw the ball, she could focus on aim. She made sure to throw the next ball with about as much force as she had the last one, but aimed for the center bowl instead of just the table.

The ball bounced a bit before going into one of the bowls, though not the center one. "Good job, kupo!" Steve took the pieces out of the bowl and dried them off. "These will make a Wheeflower."

Namine accepted the pieces, though her smile was more due to being happy that she'd managed to win something than what she'd won itself. Floweres weren't her favorite. "Thank you."

Three tries down, two more to go. Hopefully this one would go a little better. Aiming carefully, Namine tossed her fourth ball towards the center bowl.

The ball pinged off several rims before settling into one of the outermost bowls. "Not bad! These'll make a Thunderaffe, kupo."

Oh, dear. Lightning types weren't Namine's favorites, either. Still, she did her best to smile as she accepted the pieces and thanked Steve.

Hopefully her last try would have better results than the others. Namine aimed carefully for the center bowl, then tossed the ball.

The ball pinged off several rims, hit the table, and bounced off onto the floor. "Ooh, rough luck, kupo. Wanna try again?"

Oh, dear. Well, Namine had known going into this that she wasn't the best at this sort of thing. Two out of five wasn't bad. Though she still had a little money left, more than enough to get her the balloons she needed...It might be worth it, to get something a little more suited to her.

"Yes, three more tries, please." She handed six munny to Steve. Three more, then she'd stop.

Steven took the munny and replaced it with three balls. "Here you go, kupo!"

Namine accepted the balls and threw one towards the center bowl. Just to see if it made a difference, she tried an underhanded toss this time.

The ball plinks across a few rims before landing in one of the outermost bowls. "That'll get you a Toximander, kupo."

"Thank you." Namine smiled as she accepted the pieces. This round was starting well, at least. After setting her winnings to the side, she tossed another ball, aiming more carefully this time.

"No problem, kupo." The next ball bounced off several rims before getting stuck between two. "Ooh, rough luck, kupo."

It looked like aim and precision were on the list of things to practice at Namine's next magic lesson with Ienzo. Then again, casting a spell was different from throwing a ball. Maybe she did need to try some games like catch, just to practice coordination.

One last chance. Namine aimed the ball as carefully as she could and threw it.

The ball pinged off half a dozen rims before plonking into the outermost bowl. "Not bad, kupo! That'll make a Tama Sheep."

Considering her lack of practice at this sort of thing, winning four prizes out of eight tries was good. Namine gathered together all her winnings. "Thank you."

She smiled and waved as she moved on to find some balloons and look around at more of the party.
