4. Party Rock Anthem
Characters: Party People
Content: Bolin hosts a block party in Twilight Town. Food, fun, and partying! Whoo!
Location (including world): Twilight Town, The Sandlot
Time of Day: Late afternoon and into the night
Warnings: Excessive partying?
Notes: Feel free to start your own sub-threads, thread-jack, and just have fun. Open free for all is the style for threading.
Bolin, with the help of Spirits, Moogles, and various other people had finally finished setting up the party. There were tables laden with different kinds of food of course and decorations everywhere. They'd made sure to clear a space for dancing and Perry the Platypus had volunteered to DJ with some equipment borrowed from the moogles for the night. Bolin wished there could be more people so they could have games and stuff like a proper street festival...but for what he had he felt it was pretty good.
Now they just needed people to show up for the fun.

Dax remained sulking behind her, but he stopped 'taunting' the younger spirit, at least. Carolina gave North a sympathetic look, or at least tried to. It had been a long time since she'd cared to do so for anyone else. "They certainly act like small children much of the time," she shrugged. "Guess it's just a matter of being patient."
no subject
It didn't change the fact that it was a bizarre fashion statement.
Trouble trotted along, oblivious unless there was something tasty she could eat. North was keeping an eye on her out of the corner of his eye.
"At least until you train them a bit. Then they start to settle down."
Granted Cactus and Winnie weren't spirits to act up all that much.
no subject
She pulled her thoughts abruptly away from where that train of thought would lead, settling instead on the thunderaffe. It could always be worse. "At least she's affectionate. I'd imagine she'd be an even bigger handful if she had a nastier temperament."
She glanced to Dax. Training didn't seem to bother him at all, save to bother him *out* of a nap. The faint lump settled in his tummy from treats at Ziva's food stand aside, at least the hebby repp wasn't fat. Yet.
no subject
"Yeah. I've yet to meet a spirit like that, but I'm sure it might happen one day. I'm not looking forward to that though."
Although Cactus had a way of showing that he was annoyed at something.

Dax made a face at the mention of spicy food, though the thought of returning to Ziva's stand was appealing. Her spirit treats were delicious! Carolina rolled her eyes at him, before turning her attention back to North. And his AI. Exposure to Epsilon had made her...well, not considerate exactly. "How are you enjoying things, Theta?"
no subject
Then he'd be the one cleaning it up, not to mention all the ruined food.
Theta looked up, surprised to be spoken to. Usually he was fine with just letting North talk and he would listen.
"Oh, uh, yeah! It's a lot of fun!"
no subject
"Glad to hear it." He certainly seemed more relaxed. Where once a handful of freelancers had been 'many', this was likely a good change.
"Have you two tried any of those carnival games yet?"
no subject
It helps that many of the people here have been really nice, and that North's by his side. Theta brightens at the mention of the game.
"Yeah! We tried the moogle one and we won a kab kanon!
"The moogles say it's a rare one. So Theta's pretty excited."
no subject
"I picked up two dream eaters from it, but Dax managed to knock a ball into the center pot. Won us something called a 'frootz cat'." Certainly sounded feline, but didn't make her think of meow wows, at least.
no subject
After all, North had never seen a kab kanon before, and he was curious about what it actually was. And if it had a cannon.
"Nice going, Dax," North said, rather impressed with the spirit. None of his had been interested. Well Cactus hadn't been and he didn't really trust Trouble. "I can't say I've heard of a Frootz cat. The only cat I'm familiar with is the Necho ones. We won one of those as well."
He wasn't sure if he would make it yet. He'd see what the Kab Kanon was like.
no subject
"Wash has one of those, doesn't he." The necho cat, that is. Dax arched his neck proudly, tail swishing at the praise. "It was a lucky shot," she told her lizard flatly; he stuck his tongue out at her.
(She didn't manage half as well, and the fact she didn't waste munny attempting to beat his throw was a massive effort of restraint of Carolina's part.)
no subject
Although North was pretty convinced that Melody had Wash wrapped around her paw.
"But yeah, I'll show him off once we make him, or her."
