No More Monkeys Jumping On the Bed [Open]
Characters: An unwanted guest...and you
Content: BOSS BATTLE
Location: Fifth District Greenhouse
Time: Evening
Warnings: Violence. It’s a boss battle, guys. C’mon.
My, the Fifth District is nice this evening, isn’t it? Whether you’re just passing through or going Nightmare-hunting, you can’t deny that that greenhouse is a lovely feat of architecture. It might even distract you from the fact that you haven’t been attacked by Nightmares at all since you entered the district; an oddity, given that this area is usually very Nightmare-prone.
The peace and quiet doesn’t last long, however. There’s a rattle and an unholy screech undercut by the cacophony of shattering glass, and the greenhouse roof explodes outwards. You cover your face and turn away, waiting for the glass to settle before heading towards it. No matter whether you jump down from the broken roof or head in via the doorway, you’re greeted with the same sight: the upper half of a giant multicolored monkey. It screeches again; obviously it’s not happy to see you, and it’s about to make that known. Rearing back, it takes a swing at you with one massive paw.
Good luck.
[OOC: Welcome to your first boss fight! This is Hockomonkey and he doesn’t like you. Hockomonkey will be controlled by the mods, who will also determine (via dice roll - we’re kicking it D&D style) whether attacks land and how much damage they’ll do. We’ll keep the technical stuff on the back end - just write like you normally would. There is no tag order in this thread; however, we do ask that you keep up a relatively quick tagging pace, especially if your character teams up with any others for joint attacks or strategies.]

Aeleus was between him and the epicenter of the blast; he didn't look to be doing as poorly as others, but Ienzo quickly cast a cura spell on Aeleus and their dream eaters. "I'll try to see to the injured, Aeleus."
He looked around for who might be the worst injured; potions and cure spells would likely be needed everywhere.

But if he'd been hurt this badly, and he was wearing armor...oh God. "Namine!" He bolted towards where he'd last seen her and skidded to a stop. She was slumped against a wall, still awake, with Spot and Batty and Fang all downed around her. They'd all been trying to protect her and it still hadn't been enough to keep her from getting hurt. He dropped to one knee beside her, taking a potion out of the side storage compartment on his armor, uncorking it, and pushing it into her hands. "Here. Drink this."
He stepped away, still keeping an eye on her, and knelt again next to the Spirits. They were all unconscious and pretty banged up, and hadn't that info packet Riku had put together on them said they could go to pieces if they were hurt badly enough? He'd brought four potions and thought it overkill at the time, but now Namine had one and he had just enough left to keep their Spirits alive. He gave one to Spot and then to Batty, watching the Spirits shake themselves awake and make their way to Namine as he gave the last potion to Fang. The bat woke up and squeaked quietly, and he patted it gently. "Good boy," he murmured, realizing very quickly just how out of his depth he was here. He had no medical training, and that was what the situation now needed. Sighing, he turned on his communicator; when all else failed, military training was a good fallback. "This is Agent Washington requesting medical assistance in the greenhouse in the Fifth District. You'll know you're close when you start walking on the broken glass. There was an explosion here - numerous casualties, no fatalities yet. If you can heal or bring potions, we need you."
He turned off the communicator, bit back a wince - dammit all he wanted to do right now was collapse and he couldn't do that yet - and headed back to see how Namine was doing.

He grimaced at the destroyed greenhouse...and far worse, at the many injured all about. Had the Nightmare caused all this before it was defeated?
He summoned his Keyblade while Kura, Chuza and Gengo all looked on nervously. There was so much chaos left...who here required first priority?
"Who needs immediate healing?" He called out.

Sora couldn't really remember the last time he'd been hurt this badly. He'd been close enough to the explosion for the force of it to send him flying a good ten feet. Unfortunately, there was a wall eight feet away, which he hit rather hard, slumping to the ground in a pathetic heap.
It was Jelly Bean whimpering and pawing at him that made him acknowledge that he was somehow still conscious. Barely. And in pain. And bloody. He wasn't sure he could even move just yet. Between his injuries and some amount of exhaustion, the only thing that had him even considering moving was the fact there were others who were also hurt. Still whining, Jelly Bean cast Curaga on him and barked at him.
"All right, all right," he groaned, dragging himself into a sitting position. He was still hurting, but the magic had healed him enough that he could get up and move. He sent Jelly Bean to help anyone who needed it (halfway expecting the the Meow Wow to give priority to Spirits in critical shape) and looked around to see where he could help as well. It probably wouldn't be much. He had enough magic for a few spells before he'd need to recharge and one Ether on hand, a consequence of having been out Nightmare hunting when the monkey showed up. It was better than nothing, though.
Then he heard Eraqus asking who needed help. He wasn't sure when the man had arrived, but that hardly mattered. Help was help. Funnily enough, the worst of this damage had come from the explosion that had killed the Nightmare, said explosion having been the result of mixing three different elemental magics together. That detail wasn't nearly as important as getting everyone healed, though.
Sora picked up Bruce and healed him as he answered Eraqus's question, "Just about everyone..."

He hadn't been trained for this any more than Wash had; thankfully he'd stocked up on potions and figured that anything that had people putting out town-wide distress calls would be a mean bastard. It seemed like green sparkles were breaking out all over; people looked better afterwards, so it had to be some sort of potion thing.
He headed over to Ziva and offered her a potion, scanning the area for other people in need of more help. "What happened here?"

At least Blaze was mostly unhurt though, the Spirit moving to his side and nudging at him while squeaking worriedly. Finally cracking open an eye, he tried to offer a reassuring smile to the Hebby Repp...but it kind of failed before it formed.

Concerned, he ran to the nearest one, Ursa, while Flap hovered by him anxiously. There was just enough energy in the Baku's tummy for a small healing and hopefully enough to just revive the big bear Spirit.

It was the pain that made her realize she'd regained consciousness. Opening her eyes, she saw Spot, Batty, and Fang lying around her, obviously badly hurt and making soft, pained noises. An initial attempt to go to them proved futile; her body wouldn't cooperate. Another just left her slumped against the wall, helpless for the moment.
Fortunately Wash showed up then. She would have told him about the two potions she had, but before she could speak he'd given one to her and each of the Spirits. While he was calling for help, Spot flopped near her, head in her lap, Batty and Fang hovering nearby. It looked like Wash's Potions had saved them.
Slowly, she tried to lift her own to her mouth, wincing in pain as she did. Catching on to what she was trying do, Spot shifted so his head was supporting her hand, with the two bats chittering encouragement. When she'd finally drunk it, she set the bottle down and hugged Spot.

Namine was doing poorly, but Wash seemed to be taking care of her - he could go and discuss her behavior later. He stayed to make sure that the dream eaters and Bolin would be well before he went anywhere else.

Deciding Tails was one of those most in need of assistance at the moment, she hurried over to him. Once she got close enough, she cast another Curaga to heal him. Once the spell's familiar green glow faded, she knelt next to him. "Tails?"

That was for later, however. Right now, there were more important things to tend to, as he turned towards where he'd last seen Even. He wouldn't have been entirely surprised if Even turned out to perfectly capable of handling things himself, but that was no reason he couldn't at least check.

His Pricklemane squeaked plaintively. It looked in worse case than Even himself, even before the potion. Even uncorked a second potion and knelt to allow his Pricklemane to drink. Apparently, it had finally discovered the limit of its energy; it lapped at the potion and nuzzled tiredly against Even's hand. He reluctantly dismissed his shield and patted it. "Yes, yes. You did quite well."
He looked to Aeleus and Ienzo first. They had been significantly nearer the center of the blast. Seeing them not materially injured, Even nodded to himself.
