Dreaming Wide Awake [Fourth Wall/Open]
Who: Everyone! Current characters, fourth wall characters, whoever wants to show up.
What: The portals are closed. Everyone's in Traverse Town, including a whole bunch of new people. This should be interesting.
Where: Traverse Town
When: Throughout the day
Warnings: Depends on the characters. Expect language at least.
You didn't expect to be here. You really didn't. The technicolor buildings are a surprise, as is the little white flying bear telling you you're in the dream world. He gives you a bag full of what looks to be currency, enough shiny things to create a creature of your own (or so he says), and sends you on your way.
Good luck.

Which is perhaps not terribly comforting, but at least it suggests a general familiarity with the topics at hand.
"And never mind the question, now."

You know when an annoying tune just sort of pops into your head?
"Right. Gettin' off track. Point is, where there's trouble, it's my job to fix it. And it seems like there's a whole heap'a trouble around here."
no subject
"There might be. If you were inclined to pay attention to that sort of thing."

As names go, it's not really much. But it's what he's always gone by - or at least, what he has for long enough to make it be his default answer. And it works well enough, even if there's been a little contention over the name lately. But that is hardly his fault, even if he'd been the second Doctor to show up.

"Okay then, Doc, I just gotta... make real sure here..." He squinted from the scarf, the misshapen coat, the general cheerily manic look on the man's face. "...You ain't a mad doctor, are you?"
Because literally 95% of the doctors he met were.
no subject
"Oh no, not at all. Really, I'm not even that kind of doctor. Not enough to do anything that you might be worried about, even if I did have it my heart to do so."
Of course, he won't deny that he does make a very good picture of a mad doctor, but he's harmless enough. In fact, he's generally more of a force for good, although he's not always good at making sure that people don't still end up dead. But he does his best, regardless.

Still, this Doctor had yet to do anything distinctly suspicious, so Sparks was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here. "In that case, you mind telling me which kind of doctor you are, for future reference?"
no subject
"Oh, the kind who likes to live the life of a wanderer, mostly. And the kind who's generally helpful in a pinch."
no subject
"Well, help's always good to have, pinch or no. Name's Sparks Nevada, Marshal on Mars."
no subject
"It's very nice to meet you, then."
