What: The portals are closed. Everyone's in Traverse Town, including a whole bunch of new people. This should be interesting.

You didn't expect to be here. You really didn't. The technicolor buildings are a surprise, as is the little white flying bear telling you you're in the dream world. He gives you a bag full of what looks to be currency, enough shiny things to create a creature of your own (or so he says), and sends you on your way.

"Ahuh." Unfortunately, seeing as an awful lot of mad doctors would insist upon their being sane and rational while trying to invent a new superdisease, Sparks still held a few reservations.

Still, this Doctor had yet to do anything distinctly suspicious, so Sparks was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here. "In that case, you mind telling me which kind of doctor you are, for future reference?"

So they would. But he means what he says, and in any case there's not much of a reason to not continue answering. Especially when there's been enough suspicion leveled at his head across his various lives as it is.

"Oh, the kind who likes to live the life of a wanderer, mostly. And the kind who's generally helpful in a pinch."

It wasn't as direct an answer as he'd been hoping, but admittedly more than he'd been expecting. With one last vaguely disgruntled look, Sparks shrugged off the remaining questions.

"Well, help's always good to have, pinch or no. Name's Sparks Nevada, Marshal on Mars."

Direct is something that he doesn't do very often. But he can manage enough of the relevant answers to at least manage to get people to listen to him. For a certain meaning of listen, but since Sparks doesn't seem to be inclined to level any further accusations at him, he figures it'll work out in the end.

"It's very nice to meet you, then."
