Who: Okita Souji, his Pricklemane and you!
What: Fighting is all well and good, but what he'd really like to teach Toshi is how to fetch.
Where: Traverse Town, in the First District
When: Just after lunchtime
Warnings: Duck! Flying sticks! (PG.)
"Toooooooshi! Ready, Toshi? Go get it!"
The twig arced out in a beautiful flat spin, bounced off a wall, and skidded into the alleyway. Spines quivering, the Pricklemane raced after it. Souji bounced on his toes, beaming.
There was a clatter from the alley, and a growl, before the Spirit came trotting back out with a board from a broken crate, five times the size of the stick, clenched proudly in its jaws. Souji sighed.
"That's not it," he scolded, darting out to take the board away. "It has nails in it, Toshi! You'll hurt your mouth! Bring back the same thing I throw. Let's put this back...."
The Pricklemane sank its teeth deeper into the wood and tugged, and Souji gave it up for the moment to hurry past Toshi and pick up the abandoned stick.
"Here," he offered, waving it over the Pricklemane's head. "This is what you want! Now, one more time..." He reared back, readying the throw, and Toshi dropped the board with a clatter to paw the cobbles. "Fetch!"
The Pricklemane charged into the plaza, picking up speed heedless of anything -- or anyone -- in its path.

Hope you don't mind!
"I did not throw it..." She said to her confused spirit, before she heard the sound of a running spirit and looked up to see a pricklemane coming straight towards them. "But I think he knows who did." She stepped out of the way of the other spirit as he kept going towards the stick, Abby behind her and Gibbs taking flight again.
"A game of fetch, maybe?"
Not at all! ♥
With a groan, Souji broke into a jog. "No, not that, Toshi, you're supposed to fetch me the stick-- Excuse me, miss! Can you tell him to stop?"

"Thank you, Gibbs." She said with a smile before turning towards the man jogging towards her. Abby went to move between them, but Ziva shook her head and she stopped. "Do not worry about him."

Approaching, Souji's eyes widened at the sight of the little Pricklemane listening to the larger Spirit. Perhaps that was the trick, then. They could speak to each other....
"My, but yours are well trained!" he said, clasping his hands unthreateningly behind his back as he came to a stop. After all, he wouldn't want to startle either of her Spirits. They seemed protective. "I should ask for tips, shouldn't I? Toshi and I get along, but he has a mind of his own."

"I have had them for a while, they are used to listening to me... as much as any other spirit." She watched as Abby wandered off, chasing after...something... She didn't know what. "Although, they have their own ideas sometimes."
no subject
"Perhaps they all do," Souji sighed, and crouched to pick up the prickly little creature, tutting at him. "Don't ruin the street, Toshi... Have you been here long, then? I'm still new myself."
no subject
"I have been here...quite some time." She said, scratching at her ponytail for a moment. She'd lost track of time between the strange days and nights each world provided. "I have lost track at this point. But at least six...maybe eight months."

"It seems to depend. I know of some people who were here, but are now gone. And I went home for a year before dreaming of this place again."
