I'm Climbing Up The Walls - [Open]
Who: Amaterasu and anyone else!
What: Ammy's got some new Spirits, and wants to teach them some old tricks...
Where: Tram Common area in Twilight Town
When: Afternoon
Warnings: None thusfar
Amaterasu has decided to make two new Spirits as a result of her playing games at the carnival, and at least one of these she felt could help her out in another manner. However, that meant she had to give it a little training.
So, she stood with her two new Spirits -a Cyber Yog she'd named Chu, and a Necho Cat named Lucky- beside one of the tall walls stretching up the Square in the tram area. She sat down next to the wall, considered it for a moment, and then sat up so that she was placing both her front paws against the wall. She turned back just slightly towards her two Spirits, trying to remember the pose that Kabegami always stood in. Lucky tilted her head at her.
She barked back to the Necho Cat: when I ask, stand against the wall like this. Do you understand?
Lucky gave a little head roll and sauntered over to the wall. Was that all? Sure, she could do that. She sat down beside Ammy and placed her paws against the brick surface. Like this? That was easy!
Ammy nodded, and walked back towards Chu. Lucky started to follow, but Ammy barked back to her: no! Just stay that way for a moment!
Lucky looked a little sheepish, and resumed the asked position. Once Ammy had enough distance between them, she pulled up her canvas and tested out her brush. There was purple smoke coming off her brush when over Lucky...first step, good! Once she had that, she painted a line off of the Spirit and up the wall.
Lucky seemed to live up to his name, since once she resumed time, there was a telltale line of glowing paw prints up the side of the wall, starting from Lucky. Just one more test to do! Ammy ran forward, and jumped up onto the pawprint line. She gave a couple experimental jumps, and found her paws sticking to the wall, just as she'd hoped.
Still stuck halfway up the wall like a bug, she turned her head and barked down to Lucky: Yes! It's supposed to go just like this!

Sometimes,Sora's influence on her personality shone through like this.
Speedy laughed. It was good Lucky was so enthusiastic about gathering the munny. That probably helped her person a lot.
At the moment, Flare really didn't care if he was being silly. It wasn't fair that Chu got a treat when he didn't, and that was that. When no treat for him appeared, he simply started sulking. Fine, if that was how it was, see if he helped next time...
...Not that he wouldn't help, because his Person couldn't do a THING without him.

Lucky continued to twirl around in a circle. She certainly liked to think so!
Even Chu was starting to get a little tired of Flare's whining. He snorted at the other Spirit: oh come on, show a little bit of dignity! You didn't see him whining! ...True, he had gotten a treat, but even if he hadn't, he knew how to be patient!

Speedy chuckled. That kind of enthusiasm was beyond her, but it was good to see other Spirits so devoted to helping their Persons.
Flare grumbled and went to curl up next to Speedy. Fine, fine, he'll be quiet. Meanwhile, Speedy rolled her eyes. Some teammates required a little more patience than others.

It seemed like Flare had accepted things for now, although begrudgingly. They could still practice a little bit more. She barked to Lucky: want to try and do the pose again?
Lucky seemed a little put out that it was back to practice, but sauntered back over to the wall and put her paws against it again. Ammy tried to bring up her canvas to paint again, but the telltale purple holy smoke was missing. She barked to Lucky again: no, just the front two paws! The middle ones confused the brush.
Lucky gave an exasperated sigh, and shifted her position so that only her front two paws touched the wall.

Since it looked like training would be starting up again soon, she gave Ammy a parting scritch and let her get back to work. For the moment she didn't leave. This could be interesting to watch. Speedy was happy to look on and take a rest, and even Flare perked up a bit.

She brought up her canvas again, and painted another Catwalk line up the wall, this time making it curve around a little. A line of pawprints appeared, and she jumped up on it and began to leap up the wall's side, careful to keep her paws situated on where the invisible marks actually were.
After a moment, she considered things, and then barked back down to Lucky: could she try and warp up here? She wanted to see if she could continue the line further up the wall.
Lucky begrudgingly let go of the wall, and tried to find her way up to Ammy's position...but once she got there, discovered that she hadn't actually warped to a ledge she could stand on, and immediately dropped back towards the ground.

That is, she observed until she saw Lucky fall. Then she rushed to catch the Cat. Spirit or no, that fall looked like it could be a bad one.

Lucky meowed out of surprise more than anything, prepared to land on hopefully at least one of her six feet--only to wind up in Xion's arms. She looked up at her a little shaken, but otherwise pretty grateful that she hadn't had to deal with that ground.
Well, they don't call her Lucky for nothing!

Xion sighed with relief when she managed to catch Lucky. Instead of letting the cat go right away, she took a moment to offer calming scritches and snuggles. That seemed to help some of her Spirits when they were upset.
Meanwhile Speedy hurried over to see if Lucky was okay, and even Flare looked concerned. His Person had made the catch, so that meant no harm done, right?

Figuring that now was not the time to keep trying out the brush technique, Ammy jumped down off the wall and wandered back over to Xion and her Spirits. By that point, Lucky had jumped free and was sauntering back away, obviously trying to shake off what seemed embarrassing to a Spirit-in-training. Yes, no harm done, she was fine!
Besides, even if she hadn't been caught, she had plenty of feet to land on. Ammy rolled her eyes and shook her head out of affection. Cats seemed to be the same wherever you went!

Xion smiled at Lucky's attempt to downplay the mishap. That didn't mean she had to tolerate Flare snickering, though. She reached over to tap him on the nose. "That's enough."
To forestall any more pouting on Flare's pout, Xion gave him her best imitation of one of Xaldin's stern glances. It made him straighten out his act pretty quickly; she'd have to remember that.

Lucky considered this for awhile, then shook her head. Not because she was nervous or anything! She was just a little tired of this training and wanted a break.

She had her own training to do, and Spirits to train as well.
