I'm Climbing Up The Walls - [Open]
Who: Amaterasu and anyone else!
What: Ammy's got some new Spirits, and wants to teach them some old tricks...
Where: Tram Common area in Twilight Town
When: Afternoon
Warnings: None thusfar
Amaterasu has decided to make two new Spirits as a result of her playing games at the carnival, and at least one of these she felt could help her out in another manner. However, that meant she had to give it a little training.
So, she stood with her two new Spirits -a Cyber Yog she'd named Chu, and a Necho Cat named Lucky- beside one of the tall walls stretching up the Square in the tram area. She sat down next to the wall, considered it for a moment, and then sat up so that she was placing both her front paws against the wall. She turned back just slightly towards her two Spirits, trying to remember the pose that Kabegami always stood in. Lucky tilted her head at her.
She barked back to the Necho Cat: when I ask, stand against the wall like this. Do you understand?
Lucky gave a little head roll and sauntered over to the wall. Was that all? Sure, she could do that. She sat down beside Ammy and placed her paws against the brick surface. Like this? That was easy!
Ammy nodded, and walked back towards Chu. Lucky started to follow, but Ammy barked back to her: no! Just stay that way for a moment!
Lucky looked a little sheepish, and resumed the asked position. Once Ammy had enough distance between them, she pulled up her canvas and tested out her brush. There was purple smoke coming off her brush when over Lucky...first step, good! Once she had that, she painted a line off of the Spirit and up the wall.
Lucky seemed to live up to his name, since once she resumed time, there was a telltale line of glowing paw prints up the side of the wall, starting from Lucky. Just one more test to do! Ammy ran forward, and jumped up onto the pawprint line. She gave a couple experimental jumps, and found her paws sticking to the wall, just as she'd hoped.
Still stuck halfway up the wall like a bug, she turned her head and barked down to Lucky: Yes! It's supposed to go just like this!

It looked like someone had beaten her to the Tram Common. Ammy had already succeeded in her experiment by the time Xion arrived. After a moment of surprise, she smiled. "Hi, Cloud. What are you doing up on that wall?"
Some of the others might have been even more surprised, but Xion had seen stranger in her life. Speedy and Flare went to greet the other Spirits in their own way (Flare couldn't help wanting to show off his collar and headphones).

Satisfied with that, Lucky slipped away from the wall and stretched out. Phew! Glad she didn't have to stay like that all the time. She wandered over towards the Sudo Neku and Escarglow.
In the meanwhile, Chu regarded Xion's Spirits with a bit of haughty incredulence. Collar and headphones? Sure, that was nice looks, but real Spirits spoke with their actions!

Speedy was happy to meet Lucky, though only managed a shy "hello." The Necho Cat seemed very nice, at least. Hopefully Flare wouldn't antagonize Chu too much...
For his part, Flare was indignant at Chu's implication. He was perfectly capable of handling himself in a fight, thank Chu very much. It just so happened he looked good while doing it.

Which meant she'd have to see how hers would react. Lucky seemed sociable enough, meowing a "hello" back to Speedy. What a strange, shy Spirit. Lucky sauntered over closer, mostly to see what was happening, but also to see if Speedy was perhaps hiding any munny in that shell.
Chu, meanwhile, just turned up his head and stuck closer to Ammy. In his mind, looking good was a far secondary to duty!

Speedy wasn't hiding anything in her shell, no. In fact, she pulled into it just a bit under the close scrutiny. It's very nice to meet everyone, but she's not used to so much attention.
Oh, please. Flare did his job. He just also took care of his appearance.

This second town was just as strange as the other one, but in different ways. (His pricklemane seemed very amused at his reaction to the tram, which was a very unmanly backpedaling when it came close. The idea that one could move that much metal, that many people, with no horses, no animals pulling it... amazing.)
His pricklemane seemed unfazed by this new place, though Jaime had noticed that it had been twilight for about an hour. Was the sun... stuck?
When he stepped into the tram common and saw the white wolf and her Spirits, he watched them for a moment. Was the wolf... training them? He'd been assuming that his pricklemane would know what to do automatically if they ran into a Nightmare, and all of a sudden wandering around on his own with just one untested companion seems like recklessness of the worst sort.
He watched the wolf and her Spirits for a moment more, then frowned and looked down at the pricklemane.
"That document I got sent said you knew spells, Small One. If we run into trouble... you DO know how to use them, don't you?"
Jaime certainly hoped it did, because he hadn't the faintest idea of how to start training it if it didn't.
His pricklemane looked longingly at the other Spirits, as if it wanted to go say hello, but it didn't leave his side. Its loyalty was oddly comforting, as he wasn't sure if he wanted to be without the creature everyone had told him would help him if he ran into Nightmares.

Looking down again, she noticed that both Lucky and Chu had gotten distracted by someone new showing up. She twisted her head around, and saw that it was Jaime, that new fellow.
Lucky pattered over slowly to sniff out that pricklemane, although Chu remained close by the wall, apparently as fiercely loyal has his name suggested. Ammy decided to let Chu let up a little (hopefully), and jumped back off the wall. She barked a greeting to the man.

"I hope I'm not interrupting you," he called.
The pricklemane crouched at his feet and purred in Lucky's direction, as if to say, "Hello! I'm friendly..."
"So... can all Spirits let their companions walk up walls, or is that just yours?"
His pricklemane shot a pained look in Jaime's direction, as if to say, "You COULD have asked me what I can do FIRST..."
"Sorry, sorry..." Jaime murmured, and bent down to scratch the pricklemane behind the ears. It was one of the first times he'd offered it any affection, and the Spirit vibrated contentedly and rubbed its head against his leg.

Lucky did a curvy saunter over to the pricklemane, pleased that this little experiment had worked (and that it hadn't required too much work on her part). Yes, she was friendly, too! Chu, on the other hand, stood back proudly and didn't seem too interested in approaching anyone.
Ammy shook her head again. Unless someone else could use a celestial brush, she doubted they could use a Spirit to draw Catwalk. And even then, she didn't think it would work on anything else than cats...
Although speaking of, it looked like his Pricklemane was growing on him. A small smile creased Ammy's features, and she thumped her tail. She liked seeing people get along with their animal companions!

...but sometimes you just saw something that was so far beyond belief you didn't know what to do. That's why the ninja stood against a nearby building, staring up at the white wolf clinging to its side.

Ammy turned and looked around the street below until she spotted him by a nearby building. She gave him a quizzical look, cocking her head at him. Where did he come from, anyway?

"Oh, it's a regular Spirit team-up," he said as he stepped forward, looking back from Cat to dog with a frown. Something didn't seem right about this, though...
The image of a talking horse popped into his head abruptly. Not all these creatures were Dream Eaters after all, were they? But then again, the horses did talk.
...another image popped into his head, of a girl that didn't. "I am officially no longer sure where the line is any more," he mumbled.

It was either that or spend more munny on shirts than he planned.
He watched the wolf and her spirits with interest. It was bizarre to say the least, but North was polite enough not to comment.
no subject
Ammy didn't notice North at first, but did so soon enough when Chu saw him and began bleating in alert. She looked about until she saw him down below, and gave him a quick bark of greeting. Hey, was he feeling all right now?
no subject
"Hi. I just wanted to say thanks, for the other day. You were a help."
no subject
Ammy barked back a welcome...it was all right! She was glad to help. She then looked a little frustrated...she had been hoping to catch the creature while it was there, but it had slipped away somehow. And it was no good having more people get hurt.
no subject
It took North a minute to figure out what could cause the wolf to get that expression before it finally clicked.
"It's alright. We weren't exactly ready for that thing when it attacked us."

But she wasn't expecting to come into the common area to see a white wolf hanging off of the wall. Liz stopped in her tracks, unable to help staring.

Ammy twisted her head around until she spotted Liz below. She cocked her head down at her curiously. Who was this?
no subject
"Barking up the wrong wall?"

Chu continued to trot in a circle and look concerned, so Ammy shot him a look saying that he could relax for a bit.

He's seen the dog around before and knows she's not a Dream Eater, but he's never seen a dog able to walk up walls before. Intrigued by this, he banks a turn on his glider and comes to land on the building she's climbing, looking down with a little confusion. Wheeler peers out next to him and Linka lands on his head, also looking down, so they probably present a fairly comic-looking picture.
no subject
Ammy barks up at him as if to ask, "how are you doing that?"
Meanwhile, Chu is hopping about in circles and bleating. There's someone up there and he can't reach them from down here! Of course, Ammy's already perfectly aware of this, so she's not sure what he's going on about.
