Characters: Tails and whoever
Content: Learning the area
Location: Traverse Town, Fountain Plaza
Time of Day: Afternoonish?
Warnings: None
Enough time had been spent just getting to know his Hebby Repp, which he'd simply named Blaze, and now Tails felt a bit better about exploring the world he'd recently arrived in with the Spirit. Actually he'd need to thank Sora and Riku again for that information on Dream Eaters too.
The thought of being attacked by Nightmares had actually been kind of scary, but it was nothing like Chaos or the monsters that roamed at night while Dark Gaia had been awake, which was a good thing because he really didn't like monsters at all.
Deciding to give his tails a short break, the fox landed not far from the large fountain after setting Blaze down gently...not that the break was needed. He was glad that he had decided to come out. It was an amazing place after all and just wandering around made him a lot more comfortable here. Besides, he'd been hoping for a little bit of a change from the quiet of Central City.
But what to do next?

But what to do next?

So the fountain it was, and she was there again today with Axel and Barkley. They liked the chance to play, and today the game seemed to be Tag. Axel was taking a turn as 'it' when all of them noticed a small shadow overhead. The spirits paused in their game and they looked up to see the newcomer--Tails?--flying using...his tails. Surprised, Xion watched him touch down and carefully set down his own Hebby Repp.
Curious about his method of flying, she was trying to think of how to ask about it when Axel took charge of the situation. Eager to see another of his own kind, he hurried over to greet the other Hebby Rep. Xion followed, Barkley staying close behind her.

"Hello," he greeted, seeing no reason to be suspicious of the stranger. He hadn't yet been given a reason to worry about anyone untrustworthy here so there was little point in not being at the very least polite to others right?

Still smiling at the Dream Eaters' antics, Xion turned to the new arrival. Fortunately he took care of breaking the ice. "Hello. Did you just get here?"
Hopefully he knew she meant 'here' to be 'Traverse Town,' not the fountain square.

So this was a girl, he'd somewhat thought as much. "Yeah, my name is Tails." He replied. He knew what she met, but both were true since he'd not been this way yet. "Have you been here long?"
no subject
"Nice to meet you." 'Tails' seemed like a fitting name for him. "Not long; just a few weeks."
It was about as long as most of them had been there.
no subject
"A few weeks?" Tails did recall Aqua had said something similar, and found it curious. "Where were you from before?"

Xion paused before answering. Where did she wanted to say she came from? Castle Oblivion was where she'd been created, and she'd spent most of the time since in The World that Never Was. Neither of those had the sense of "home" that she'd gotten from Sora's memories, though, and the very names would raise questions. Eventually she settled on her favorite world. "I'm from Twilight Town. You?"
no subject
"I'm from around Green Hill Zone." Not originally, but that's the area he called home now, which was the important part. And he would have been pretty curious to hear about places actually called Castle Oblivion and the World That Never was. For now though, he was interested in her and Twilight Town. "What's it like there?"
no subject
"It's always sunset. The clocktower is nice, and there's good ice cream." The other two worlds weren't nearly as nice despite, like Twilight Town, being caught between the realms of Light and Darkness. "What's Green Hill Zone like?"
It was an interesting name for a world.
no subject
"It sounds like a really nice place." Tails smiled, thinking of the best way to describe it, but there was really only one way. "It's green and there are more hills that level ground. I actally live in Central City just south of it."
no subject
"My friends and I liked it." Tails's description of his home piqued her interest. The only world she seen with a lot of green was Wonderland. Hills, aside from the sand dunes in Agrabah, hadn't been very common either. "Your home sounds nice."
no subject
"It really is when things are peaceful." Most of Tails' world was green, though there were many different types of terrain. A thoughtful look crossed his face and he tilted his head at Xion curiously. "Is Twilight Town like Traverse Town?"
no subject
"Not really? The buildings are a different style, and it's always sunset."

That was a thought to muse on as she watched Axel catch up to Blaze and try to tag him.
Thought I tagged, sorry. ^^;
He watched as Blaze tried to swerve suddenly, a bit too suddenly, and tripped himself.
It's all good, I've had that happen before.
Axel took advantage of the chance to easily tag Blaze, then promptly tripped himself as he tried to turn a little too quickly.
It is always frustrating.
Yep.
Xion joined in Tails's laughter. "I guess it can't."
That was a little sobering, but they were trying to find a way home.

Frankly, even if he did notice, he wouldn't care. One could see much of the plaza from that spot. As such, if anyone noticed him here, he was just chilling and watching his Spirits playing.
no subject
"Sora! Hi," he greeted when he was close enough to be noticed.

Jelly Bean and Bruce greeted Blaze happily. Dream Eaters sure were sociable. Come to think of it, the Nightmares never showed up alone either. That was part of what made them dangerous.
"Are you finding your way around okay?" When he said he'd be available to help, he meant it.
no subject
"Yeah, I've been finding my way around pretty easily," he replied, hopping on the edge of the fountain beside him and watching the trio. Briefly he wondered if Spirits ever fought other Spirits the way they did Nightmares.
"I haven't been to the Post Office yet though."
no subject
Sora made a face at the mention of the Post Office. Besides the risk of getting lost, he'd had a reminder recently that sometimes rather large numbers of Nightmares might gather there. Well, two reminders if one counted his hunt for the bits to make a bat. The more recent reminder, where an unnerving number of Kooma Pandas had appeared, was more what he was thinking of at the mention of the Post Office.
"If you do go in there, don't go alone. "
no subject
"Is it dangerous there too?" he asked, recalling it was apparently easy to get lost. It wasn't a habit of his to go looking for trouble for no reason, but he did at times have it find him so he wanted as small a chance as possible for that to happen.
no subject
"Kind of. Nightmares hang around there too. On top of that, some stronger ones have appeared and they started out there." He could sympathize with trouble finding him when he wasn't looking for it or even when he was actively avoiding it.
no subject
"That could definitely cause trouble for anyone who either can't defend themselves or whose Spirits aren't strong enough." He would be sure not to go alone, and would try to make sure no one else did if possible.

It was a good thing he could fight some...because being only about waist high on most humans would have been a disadvantage otherwise. And unless anyone could move faster than sound, his second statement wasn't untrue.
