Dreaming Wide Awake [Fourth Wall/Open]

Who: Everyone! Current characters, fourth wall characters, whoever wants to show up.
What: The portals are closed. Everyone's in Traverse Town, including a whole bunch of new people. This should be interesting.

You didn't expect to be here. You really didn't. The technicolor buildings are a surprise, as is the little white flying bear telling you you're in the dream world. He gives you a bag full of what looks to be currency, enough shiny things to create a creature of your own (or so he says), and sends you on your way.

"They did say something about this being the Realm of Dreams, but I'm afraid that if there was more I may have left too precipitously." The Moogle also may have run - floated - away as fast as its little wings could carry it. Honestly! It's not as though she was going to harm it. At the moment.

"That is the explanation we have been given." Luna, frankly, distrusts it for her own reasons. As Princess of Dreams, she likes to think she'd know. "There are wild Creatures kin to our spirits known as Nightmares, and they will attack anyone they come across. The Spirits are meant to aid you in battle." Most people here, she thought, didn't quite need the aid, but more allies was always a good thing.

"Aid, hmm?" She can think of more uses for this creature outside of battle. She tilts her head to look at it. "Is that so, small Spirit? You wish to be my assistant?" The Komory Bat trills an affirmative. "Very well, then. I accept your fealty." One can never have too many minions, even if they are fluffy and restricted to a small range of vocalizations.

"I admit, I have never before ventured into the Realm of Dreams, so I can hardly qualify as an expert, but there is a certain...quality to this place." For one who is an expert in sleep spells, the sensation is rather odd, like standing unexpectedly in the heart of a flame.

"I am the keeper of dreams, for my own people," Luna said, with no particular attempt at humility. "But this place is strange and unruly to me. The dreams had within it are what I am accustomed to - for we do still sleep and dream here." She flicked her tail, obviously not entirely pleased by her lack of control over the current Realm of Dreams, though she'd made herself well-used to it by now.

"This day it has become most odd, however. There are far more newcomers than typical, and the paths to the other worlds have closed."

Maleficent's eyes narrow. "Closed, you say?" This world of dreams within dreams is interesting to visit, but she has no mind to stay here, especially if it is going to become crowded. "What manner of paths were these? I have some experience with such things; perhaps there is a way to reopen them."
