Dreaming Wide Awake [Fourth Wall/Open]

Who: Everyone! Current characters, fourth wall characters, whoever wants to show up.
What: The portals are closed. Everyone's in Traverse Town, including a whole bunch of new people. This should be interesting.
Where: Traverse Town
When: Throughout the day
Warnings: Depends on the characters. Expect language at least.

You didn't expect to be here. You really didn't. The technicolor buildings are a surprise, as is the little white flying bear telling you you're in the dream world. He gives you a bag full of what looks to be currency, enough shiny things to create a creature of your own (or so he says), and sends you on your way.

Good luck.

Whether or not she could assuage his suspicions remained to be seen. You couldn't judge a book by its cover, but sometimes the title was a pretty good indication of the contents. And considering it looked like she'd only just gotten here, he had to wonder how she'd gotten ahold of Spirit paint so quickly...and thought to paint it Nightmare colors.

"I see." He got the sense that 'sorceress' was only a part of the answer. "I am Master Eraqus. While you're here, I'm afraid this realm is a trouble even under favorable circumstances, and it seems lately things have taken a turn for even more troublesome."
uninvitedguest: (oh my that *is* unfortunate)

Maleficent does not entirely hide her curiosity at the title. So he is a Master, hmm? She wonders if he is of the same kind as another she has met, or if there is a mere coincidence of title. Either way, she shall be circumspect.

"A trouble? Pray, tell me more. I am unfamiliar with this realm." Not as unfamiliar as all that; she knows Traverse Town when she sees it, and the concept of the Realm of Dreams is not entirely foreign to her, but he does not need to know that either.

Eraqus noted that moment of curiosity, but didn't comment on it. Maybe it would be in his best interests to leave out info on the Keyblade unless it became absolutely relevant...at least until he felt more comfortable.

"This is a realm of dreams. Everyone here seems to be asleep in the actual world, and there is little knowledge yet of how to actually awaken. Creatures called Nightmares will attack anyone here on sight, and must be fought off. They're distinguished by their counterparts by coloring..." he nodded at her Komory Bat. "...Although I get the sense you may already be aware of this."

"That does indeed sound troubling." Her annoyance was far from feigned; she had business to attend to in the waking world, and the irony of her being trapped in an eternal sleep was not lost on her. "As for the Nightmares, I have yet to see one - I take it I may have chosen poorly in Medea's coloration?"

Indeed, everyone friend and foe had their own business to attend to back home...although at least for Eraqus, he didn't believe he had any business there left.

It could just be a coincidence that she'd picked Nightmare colors, but then again, that is quite the coincidence. Even Luna at least picked different dark colors for her own Komory Bat. "Yes, those colors are the same as its Nightmare counterparts. You might find that dangerous in a battle situation."
uninvitedguest: (look at them thinking they're people)

Ironically enough, she genuinely had picked those colors by coincidence...or something like it.

"I can see how that might prove a difficulty, indeed." She would know her own, but there were many others running about, and she had no confidence in their perspicacity. "A change is in order, then. So!" Medea's coat darkened to an even midnight black with a wave of Maleficent's hand. She did say she was a sorceress, after all.
hiptobe_eraqus: (Excuse me?)

Eraqus raised another eyebrow. True, now the Spirit looked different enough from Nightmares to distinguish it, but that hadn't been accomplished with any Dream Eater paint.

She was a sorceress, yes, but he never recalled any of the strong magic-users here doing that sort on their Spirits. That was...interesting, to say the least. "Interesting method of change, I must say," he said, thoughtful. Maybe a topic change was in order. "Have you found accommodations yet?"
