Dreaming Wide Awake [Fourth Wall/Open]
Who: Everyone! Current characters, fourth wall characters, whoever wants to show up.
What: The portals are closed. Everyone's in Traverse Town, including a whole bunch of new people. This should be interesting.
Where: Traverse Town
When: Throughout the day
Warnings: Depends on the characters. Expect language at least.
You didn't expect to be here. You really didn't. The technicolor buildings are a surprise, as is the little white flying bear telling you you're in the dream world. He gives you a bag full of what looks to be currency, enough shiny things to create a creature of your own (or so he says), and sends you on your way.
Good luck.

Re: WELP
She's seeing him and seeing his weapon and anticipating what she didn't earlier. Her Komory Bat, who'd been tittering happily at the other Komory, picks up on his person's distress and flits down to alight on her armor and offer consoling whirrs.

He tried to convince himself that the rock in the pit of his stomach was self-satisfaction. It wasn't working - he just felt sick.
But that didn't mean he could let down his guard. The last thing he needed was another bullet in his chest.
"You made an impression on the Moogles." The words are a lot calmer than he thought they'd be, despite the hard edges. "Who else knows you're here?" Read: give him a reason not to shoot you right now.
Fang backwinged in alarm and flew back over to his person, hovering beside him. He was trying to make friends! What was going on?

She's looking around for an exit, but she doesn't want to show him her back. She just doesn't want to be anywhere near him, not after the way he took her out, and the way he's talking now. It fills her with a cold dread, and pulls her nerves to their end. Maybe she deserved it, but she wasn't about to take it graciously when any other option existed. "Why do you want to know?"
no subject
"Answer the question." Because there were other options, and hiding bodies was tough to do in Traverse Town. It was still doable, and the easiest option, but only if nobody else (Moogles aside) knew she was here.

Somehow she's no entirely confident that particular suggestion is going to fly, but she has to at least try. She died once already by his hand, she'd rather not repeat the experience.

"You know who else is here? Your brother." He doesn't pause, doesn't wait for that to sink in. "The last thing he remembers is Carolina's implantation and her fight with Tex. He's figured out he dies, but he doesn't know how. Let's keep it that way." There was flat threat woven in that last sentence. If North was going to learn any part of that particular truth, Wash was going to make sure he knew the whole damn thing. He'd be just as dead either way, but he'd take South down with him.
no subject
Washington's threat doesn't go unnoticed, and she shoots him a glance. "As if I'd tell him." There's no small amount of self-loathing in that comment.
no subject
But just in case...
"Just don't throw me under the bus, and I won't have to drag you down there with me."
no subject
It's hard to keep secrets from her brother, and it's going to be hard to act any sort of natural around Wash, but she's got no other choice, now.

She's assuming Wash is dead, of course, and doesn't know that Carolina actually survived.
