Well. This certainly wasn’t what you were expecting.

This part of the town is lit with street lamps and shop signs, illuminating the wooden structures and cobblestone streets. If it weren’t for the neon signs, you’d swear you’d landed in a small European town several centuries back.

The Moogle floating near the staircase leading up to the town’s item shop doesn’t help that illusion either. You may have already spoken with it; it’ll tell you where you are and that you’re in the realm of dreams, give you your starter package, and help you make your first Dream Eater. It will not, however, tell you how to get home. Sorry, but that’s not information it has, kupo.

Now that you’ve taken care of that, what will you do next? That is up to you.

Well that had certainly fallen flat. Clearly he'd misread the sort of situation she'd come from. Ienzo pondered what he could say; giving reassuring speeches wasn't exactly something he was very familiar with. What would Sora or one of his friends say? "Well...I suppose things can look very bleak sometimes. But as long as you believe in yourself and your friends, someday you will pull through, together. Even in the deepest darkness, you will always find a light." He sounded like a Christmas card, ugh. Hopefully it would help her a bit. Ienzo sighed. "I've faced death, alone in the darkness, but I found my way home again."

Most of it was stuff Aqua already knew, to be perfectly honest. Most of it was even things that she'd been trying to keep in mind. It was simply that there were points at which it became difficult to remember. She'd done her best, yes, but some days it had quite simply seemed like there would be no end to her stay in the darkness. All the same, it was nice to hear the sentiment from someone else as well.

"I'm not so sure I'll be able to say the same, but... thank you. It's very nice to hear."

All the talk of needing a home or a safe haven was making him consider the matter more closely. Clearly people with hearts or without needed an emotional anchor of some sort in order to keep them sane and moving. It would probably be wise for someone to provide that if, as it seemed, there wasn't one readily available here. He turned away from his inner musings and inclined his head to Aqua.

"I'm glad."

Had she known about what Ienzo was considering, Aqua would have admitted that it was certainly a good idea. Determination could manage to carry a person most of the way, but even then it was hardly the most enjoyable of things. Not to mention that she was fairly certain that she would have long since given up if she hadn't had her Wayfinder. Besides, for all that it hadn't been the most enjoyable it had been the best of the admittedly few options she'd had at the time, and she didn't really regret the choice.

She wasn't about to mention that, though and instead she simply offered another nod.
