Well. This certainly wasn’t what you were expecting.

This part of the town is lit with street lamps and shop signs, illuminating the wooden structures and cobblestone streets. If it weren’t for the neon signs, you’d swear you’d landed in a small European town several centuries back.

The Moogle floating near the staircase leading up to the town’s item shop doesn’t help that illusion either. You may have already spoken with it; it’ll tell you where you are and that you’re in the realm of dreams, give you your starter package, and help you make your first Dream Eater. It will not, however, tell you how to get home. Sorry, but that’s not information it has, kupo.

Now that you’ve taken care of that, what will you do next? That is up to you.

This wasn't looking like it'd work all that well. He's no York, sure, but Wash at least knows something about how to pick a lock - problem was, these doors didn't seem to have one, and they didn't seem to want to open anyway.

"Yeah, I'm starting to pick up on that," he replied, turning around to see who was talking. That...okay, was that what people were wearing now? Seriously? Wow, what the hell happened to jeans? "I didn't think getting out of here would be that easy, but it was worth a shot."

The bat that had been watching him try the doors flew over to inspect the newcomer. It was always nice to meet new people!

For what it was worth, it was possible to leave that way in the waking worlds. Naturally, that was no help at the moment.

"This isn't a bad place to be, though," Sora remarked. He couldn't know his clothes were causing a mild mental 'WTF' but even if he knew, he wouldn't likely be fazed by it. In any case, an introduction seemed to be in order, "Anyway, I'm Sora. Nice to you."

His Meow Wow, in the mean time, wanted the Komory Bat's attention. It bounced and barked a bit before sitting down and whining at the bat.
unrecovered: (Let me think about that one)

"I'll take your word for it." Wash shrugged. He'd definitely been worse places - Sidewinder and Blood Gulch came to mind; this one was just different, at least for now. "I'm kind of new here." He glanced back at the door one more time - so much for that - and turned his full attention to the kid. "I'm Wash. Likewise."

Having given Sora a cursory once-over and found him not to be a threat, the bat swooped down to the Meow Wow and squeaked. No need to whine!

"Seems like there's a lot of people in town who have never been here before or even heard of it." Sora could definitely think of worse places himself, but that wasn't going to help matters any. And that seems like an odd name, but then different worlds did seem to have different naming conventions, so Sora brushes it off. There were better things to discuss, "It kind looks like no one's leaving any time soon. Have you looked into places to stay?"

Dogs tended whine when they wanted something and Meow Wow was more dog than anything, at least in behavior. It bounced up and barked happily now that the bat wasn't ignoring him. Did the bat want to play maybe?
