The Fifth Sign

Who: Anyone who wants to participate
What: The zapapple harvest!
Where: Ponyville, Sweet Apple Acres, the orchard where the Zapapple trees are growing
When: Afternoon
Warnings: None yet.

A lightning storm crackles over the orchard, lighting the sky with electricity for minutes on end. Only when it fades does a rainbow arch across the sky. As if by magic - and it may well be - the gray apples on the trees suddenly grow to three times their size and gain rainbow stripes. It looks like the zapapples are ripe and ready for picking. There's buckets and barrels in the barn - best get started before the sun goes down and they disappear.

As for that howling in the distance...well, surely it's nothing.

[Anyone can join; this plot is friendly for combatants and non-combatants alike; no tag order; further instructions as events warrant. Have fun!]

Ammy barked back once again: yes, she could! He would have to supply the lightning, though. While she could make her own, it was a lot less precise and more unwieldly than grabbing it from a source, and she didn't want to risk something like zapping one of the apple trees or Chu. Even if the Cyber Yog could probably take it.

She waited until he did, and again grabbed an extra stream of lightning to strike where the Nightmares and Timberwolves wouldn't expect it. It at least looked like the Timberwolves weren't reforming quickly, with Chu still scattering the branches.

"All right, I think we've got this!" Edge crowed triumphantly, bashing the cloud with his hooves again to send still more lightning out and racing through the rapidly-dwindling horde. "Whatever lured them here, they're going to regret ever wanting it!"
yabigfurball: (Are you asking for a challenge?!)

[personal profile] yabigfurball 2014-02-25 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Ammy barked back with agreement. They'd show these enemies a thing or two...or more like a thing or ten!

Ammy again grabbed and redirected some lightning whenever Edge used his thundercloud. Anything else that somehow managed to get close enough she whipped into submission with her beads. Before long, the dust began to settle from their rapid attacks, and it looks like the hordes of both Nightmares and Timberwolves had either been eradicated or sufficiently scattered.

Edge flopped onto the cloud, limbs splayed as he caught his breath. "Oh, wow. I don't think I've seen a horde like that -- ever, since I've been here!"

Ammy shook out her head, scattering a few leaves, as Chu came running back to her side. He had obviously worked hard, and he deserved a reward for that. Ammy pulled out a rare royal cake that she'd saved up her munny for, and set it down for him. The Cyber Yog happily dug into his treat, knowing he'd earned it.

She let out a sigh of relief, too. She hadn't seen that many at one time in awhile, either! They must really like those apples, or something.
onehandsomeslickninja: (i got this)

Whoa. That was a big cake. Edge looked at in surprise for a moment before he turned back to Ammy, now convinced that she had just ended up in the timber wolf form by coincidence, but still having failed to put all the pieces together. "Thanks for the help!" he said, despite the fact that she'd done most of the work. "I think we can call this an unqualified victory! Any figments in the pile you've got your eye on?"
yabigfurball: (Big happy puppy!)

Ammy wagged her tail back at Edge. She was just glad that they'd been able to defend the orchards okay! This definitely was a victory for both of them.

Ammy gave a bit of a shrug. If Edge wanted to get certain pieces first, he was welcome to go and look before she did. She fought a lot, and so had a lot of extra figments lying around.

Edge kept busy too, make no mistake, but you always grabbed more in case you needed them -- or at least you could sell them to the Moogles. As he waded in, though, he came to a halt after scooping up just a hoofful.

"Hey, look at this one!" He pointed to a much larger fragment -- was that a Fancy, or maybe even a Fantasy? Edge hadn't seen either before!
yabigfurball: (Hmmm what's this?)

[personal profile] yabigfurball 2014-03-01 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Ammy trotted over at Edge's exclamation, and sniffed at the larger dream fragment. That did look like a Fancy to her. She hadn't gotten one herself yet, but she'd seen them before. She swept a paw through some of the remaining pieces...were there other Fancies here? Those could be really useful for making a larger or rarer Spirit.

"We should take these back and meet up with the others," Edge decided as he picked through the pile as well, coming up with another large one. "Share and share alike, right?"
yabigfurball: (Bestest friends)

Ammy nodded, and pushed aside one larger piece. The good thing to do when working together to defeat enemies was to share what the enemies left behind.
