Let's Have a Party!
Who: Pinkie Pie and Open
What: Pinkie throws a sleepover party in Ponyville
Where: ...Ponyville
When: Early evening
Warnings: Pinkie Pie
Pinkie's been preparing for this sleepover for a while. At first, she couldn't figure out where to have it. Sugarcube Corner? Too small! Applejack's barn? Too rodeo-y! This was just a slumber party, after all, not themed or anything.
And then she realized. Nobody's living in the entire town anymore.
By the time the written invitations (inviting the recipient to THE SUPER AWESOME MIDNIGHT PONYVILLE BASH!!!) are recieved by everyone, the market square has already been decorated and littered with seemingly random piles of sleeping bags and blankets. The area is bordered by refreshment tables, set up as a potential barrier against Nightmares if anything happens. Lord Tubbinton and Toothy are patrolling around, and not much gets past them!
Pinkie herself will be hopping around the area to greet newcomers. Or anyone she thinks might be newcomers. If you don't want to get involved in her party, it's probably best to just avoid Ponyville altogether tonight.

He'd been avoiding Ponyville for the most part after losing Theta, neither of them particularly wanting to be apart from each other for that long. But at the same time, they would have to go back there eventually and so they decided to ease themselves back into it.
It was meant to be a quick once about town before heading back but North hadn't expected being ambushed by a pink pony and trapped in a seemingly endless sea of blankets and sleeping bags. And considering who he'd have to take on to get out of here...well, it looked like North and Theta were spending the night.]

[North replies with a nod, activating his own magic to accept the glass.]
So, did you volunteer or did she rope you in this?

I was happy to accept Ms. Pie's invitation to the party, sir. I had not intended to stay for the slumber portion of it, but I enjoy social gatherings when my employer permits me the evening for my own activities. They are most enlightening and offer the opportunity to engage with those whom I might not otherwise have the chance to meet in-person.
I take it yours was a less willing attendance?

She still hasn't the slightest what she's supposed to do in places like these, but her best bet is to go for a familiar face. As familiar a face as one can be in a different body, anyway.
The pegasus sent Theta a sidelong look as she approached. As deeply as the chase she'd had before irked her, it was perhaps good to know that things had worked out.]
no subject
Hey, thanks for you help the other day. With Theta.
[The dragon/AI notices the glance, and looks away, a little embarrassed. It hadn't been him, but still, he felt bad.]

She gives North a small smile. It's good her wild goose chase didn't impede a proper reunion.]

Even if that would involve falling on his face just about after taking one step through the portal.
No-one ever accused Kanji of elegance.
So, here: have a rather sturdily-built, deep purple, earth pony partly trying to look around the place - but mostly, trying to stop feeling so damn weird about this whole 'four legged locomotion' thing...

He navigated gracefully between the scattered sleeping bags, levitating a plate of food that his Komory Bat had taken up residence on to eat. It made controlling the animal simple enough while he tended to other things. Other things including the stallion who seemed to be having trouble walking. Jeeves could appreciate such difficulties.
"Do you require some assistance, sir?" Then Jeeves noted the piercings and the skull on his flank. Was this man some sort of pirate? He didn't recall seeing anyone in the communicator archives who might claim that profession or hobby.

"Huh, me?" Kanji responded, looking over. "I'm alright, man. Just... gimme a bit to get the hang of this whole - thing. I ain't been here before."
And honestly, he wasn't sure what he'd expected to see. What was a town for horses supposed to look like? It all seemed positively ... normal, give or take the current decorations.
(Adorable, even. Not something he'd ever complain at.)

"You do alright there? It's takes a little time to get used to."
At least there are helpful purple unicorns with red and blue baby dragons to help out.

Nervously, trying not to think too hard about it, Naoto rolls back over in mid-air until she can manage a slightly closer approximation of upright. That was... educational. She supposes she'll have to land again in order to retrieve it - but wait, is that purple horse down there watching...?
no subject
However, the surprise of seeing something like that sets him back off again - he stumbles back with a 'whoa!' and instinctively looks up to see what's going on.
If he wasn't watching before, he sure is now.

He's definitely not used to this whole 'recognising people as ponies' deal - so he figures it's worth a try. A little awkwardly, he'll just be saying-]
Hey. Havin', uh, fun?

Her pricklemane quietly helps himself to a cupcake or two from one of the trays the pink earth pony left out - they're meant to be for everyone, right? ]

[Celestia smiles as she wanders over, slipping away from the general press of the crowd while she has an opportunity.]

Ah. Good evening! [There's a respectful dip of her head] It's a book on those Elements we've been looking for. Pinkie told me they'd been hidden in here once upon a time.
Not much use for actually finding them now, but I was curious about their history.

The offending Komory Bat flutters in place for a moment longer, just to rub it in. A few globs of pink frosting shake free of the cupcake in its tiny feet and drop back down to earth.]

[ Lin glanced up from her book and gave both an irritated green glare. A disapproving hoot followed from the peepsta hoo nestled on some pillows. ]

Her Komory Bat flutters in circles around her head, as if to encourage her. She looks up at it, her wings twitching uselessly. Well, she supposes, as annoying as she finds it, easing into this will be an improvement on going nowhere. Gritting her teeth, she takes an unsteady step forward... and bumps straight into a pony's flank. Another pony's flank, even - probably larger than hers, probably not the same shade of slate blue.
"Ah -" She cringes away, keeping her head low, feeling her cheeks burn in places that she isn't consciously thinking of as wrong, don't look at her, this isn't her, and mumbles, "E-Excuse me."
no subject
Except her new friend didn't seem too terribly happy to be here at all. "Oh, dear, are you alright? Do you need any help?"
no subject
Assuming that this pony was indeed just a friendly stranger - she certainly couldn't place the voice for now, distracted as she was - she gave her a polite nod, and... found herself rooted to the spot, reluctant even to wobble away from this conversation. What if she fell over again?
