Who: Roxas, Emizel, and whoever dares enter Twilight Town
What: Experimenting with nightmares. For Science.

When: Sometime after the dreams start
Warnings: Copious amount of nightmares, Roxas's Hayner-worthy idea, and potential yelling.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

At least, that's Roxas's rational. Emizel had been worried that if they defeated all the nightmares, he'd be in trouble, so what better way to test if there was a connection than if they could get a lot of nightmares.

The plan was simple. Get treats, and then get the nightmares to follow them to a location, see if Emizel felt more energetic, and then fight off the nightmares before it got out of hand.

Roxas supposed he underestimated how many nightmares they could summon with a few treats, but they could manage, right? It's not like there were any big ones or anything.

They'd be fine.

[And then Eraqus follows, with his two Spirits in tow. He doesn't need to say anything...his expression makes it obvious what he's thinking. And he'll step in to help heal if it's necessary.]

[Roxas stands when he sees Emizel, and waves, before seeing Celestia and Eraqus following. That makes him concerned and so his guard is up.]

Uh...yeah, I'm fine. What's going on?

[Yup, he sees that change in expression. Oh God Roxas he is so sorry.]

[Emizel on all accounts did not like where this discussion was probably going to go. This kinda resulted in a premature lash.]

There, see? You don't need to talk to him about anything.

We were concerned -- both about your well-being after the swarm of Nightmares, and the swarm of Nightmares in general.

[Celestia, without much regard for Emizel's protests, passes him to come over to Roxas, where she then appraises the latter with a careful look. She wants to make sure he really is okay, not just dismissing some injury or hurt he might have taken.]

[Roxas appears to be all right from what Eraqus can tell, and he knows Celestia will check for sure. Eraqus ignores Emizel's protests as well; yes, they do need to have this talk.]

We'd like to know why you deemed it okay to suggest summoning a swarm of Nightmares to begin with.

[Roxas looks at Emizel, and his expression darkens a bit more. Before relaxing slightly because he really is fine he had a potion he's just a bit tired.]

Emizel seemed really worried, so I just figured if we got a bunch of nightmares together, we could see if had any effect on him.

I didn't think it would get that big.

[He really doesn't like the idea of being ignored. But thankfully he's not saying anything about it.]

[Satisfied that he is indeed uninjured, Celestia relaxes slightly, as evident in the way her wings lower just a fraction of an inch.]

The fact that so many appeared, many more than you expected, is very worrying. And I would like to know why you didn't ask for any help. I know both of you are very strong and very capable, but even so, we couldn't simply replace either of you, if something went wrong.

[Ultimately, Celestia isn't angry -- but she is afraid of losing those she cares about to tragedy or misfortune.]

[Eraqus is angry, but being angry is his usual reaction when he's afraid for someone, too. Not that it's always easy for others to tell that.]

The fact that you decided this was appropriate at all is worrying! You should know better than to needlessly put yourselves or others at risk. What if someone who is less inclined toward combat happened by here, such as Namine?

[It's unfortunate that Roxas probably has a temper to match, especially when the consequences of his actions are made clear to him.]

Like I said! I didn't know it was gonna get that bad! And when it did, I went running around Twilight Town getting rid of as many as I could! It's not like I let them run loose!

[Emizel would have been quite...touched by Celestia's words, if Eraqus did not have to ruin it immediately after. Never try to out temper a demon, never.]

I'm not responsible if someone doesn't know how to fight yet. Besides, they have Spirits for a reason, don't they?
