Enter one Crazy Israeli with Control Issues...
Who: Ziva David & Whoever wants a possible heartastroke.
What: Ziva's training with her new Eaglider (AKA: Gibbs...or Jethro. Depends on if he's being a pain)
Where: Twilight Town...Starting at the top of the clock tower.
When: Afternoon.
Warnings: Ziva David. And the possibility of freaking out any characters who don't understand she does some stupid things.
She stood looking at the Eagle...or Eaglider...that was taller than her as it stared right back, ignoring the bat flying circles around them. It seemed to be a contest of wills, before the spirit looked away and stared out over the train plaza.
"So, what do you think of the name Leroy?" A narrowed eye looking at her before looking back towards the sunset. "Okay...How about Gibbs." A head was tilted upside down to look at her, then straight, then a nod. "Agreement then?" Another nod before he extended his wings and squawked at her again. "Fine, go fly. But you know the deal." Gibbs took off, going high above the clock tower for a second before diving back down towards the ground. He did this a couple of times before landing on the rail where she was standing.
"What?" Gibbs reached over and grabbed at her braid with his beak, pulling on it. "You realize I cannot fly, right?" Letting go of her braid, he fixed her with what she considered a perfect spirit version of a 'Gibbs stare'. She looked right back at him, apparently taking too long as he took off again. "You are just as stubborn as your namesake, Gibbs!" She walked towards the stairs to head back to the ground before stopping and looking at the edge again.
"Then again, people say I am crazy..." She mumbled to herself before sprinting for the edge of the tower and jumping off. She heard Fluffy screech behind her, but ignored him, figuring Gibbs would show up...just like he did at home.

He'd decided he could use a walk - a distraction would be good. He didn't particularly want to be a pony, so Twilight Town it was. The clock tower beat the tunnels, and if he was lucky he might find Ziva there.
Or maybe if he was incredibly unlucky. He looked up just in time to see her take a dive off the top of the clock tower-
How- why- but- he couldn't-
"Ziva!"
no subject
Oh...hell.
Opening her eyes, she saw Wash standing in the plaza below before she ended up with a face full of feathers, landing on Gibbs' back. He took off flying with her on his back, Ziva climbing a bit to get a grip on the area near his neck. He was looking back at her as he did the loop around this area of Twilight Town.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I am in trouble." She said, before giggling a bit as Gibbs squawked in agreement. It had been a good rush. She reached up and pulled her hair out of the braid for a second, determined to enjoy this before probably getting a slight chewing for jumping off the clock tower. She leaned to look down at Wash, waving at him when Gibbs came back around again.
"Afternoon Wash!"
no subject
It may have been his last moment to see her alive-
The Eaglider swooped in out of nowhere, and time sped up again. Wash sat down hard - not the greatest move, as there was nothing to sit on but the hard ground, but he wasn't worried about that. He was too busy trying to slow his heart rate down to something less than 'jackhammer.'
And then she fucking waved at him. Like it'd been nothing.
"Don't," he started, volume ramping up quickly and ending in something just short of a scream, "do that!"
no subject
"I was not expecting anyone to show up right then." The truth. "But I guess I probably should not do it again." But that wasn't a promise, and the eyeroll from the Eaglider was proof of that.
no subject
"No shit you shouldn't do it again!" He wasn't screaming anymore, but he was still way too loud for this to be anything close to a civil conversation. "What the fuck is your problem?"
This was going to be ugly.
no subject
The other part didn't care.
"Excuse me?" She said, crossing her arms and looking at him. "First, to sound like your mother for a moment, you do not need to use that language with me. Second? Yes, it was foolish, maybe. But I knew that Gibbs was right there." She gestured at the Eaglider standing nearby, still watching the two of them. She then paused for a second, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Do you really think I would do something like that without knowing I was going to be just fine?" She felt Gibbs reach out with his beak and grab part of her shirt, pulling her back a few steps... Probably to keep her from doing something she would really regret. She already knew this probably wasn't going to turn out all that well.

Melody positioned herself on one side of her person, meowing at Puddles to get ready. If this went south - more so than it already had - they were running intervention.
no subject
"Do you not think that we cleared those out already? And you apparently have not noticed that Fluffy is right there, and he was keeping an eye on things!" She had complete faith that Gibbs wouldn't have been distracted, and Fluffy was doing his job, making sure that no nightmares were out and about after they took care of what were around.
Hearing his name, Fluffy flew down to perch on Gibbs head, the Eaglider not even flinching, nor taking his eyes off Wash. The way this was going, it wasn't going to continue with just yelling. He glanced down at Melody. He could grab her and take off, if needed.
"And look, I am in One Piece. Nothing happened, and nothing would have happened!"
no subject
"Right, because Nightmares never respawn! And Fluffy can't catch you if something goes wrong!" You could have complete faith in someone and still have a contingency plan, and damn it, she just wasn't seeing that.
Melody wasn't too worried - not quite yet. Her person was shaken up and scared and angry because of it, but he would never hurt Gibbs' person. Melody wouldn't recommend taking off, but maybe Gibbs grabbing his person wasn't a bad idea, in case things got worse.
"You can't have known that!"
no subject
"Again, everything was fine! Wash, we are in a dream! If you die in a dream, you Wake. Up." She would probably regret those words later.

Gibbs moved just enough to push Ziva back a few steps, before standing in between her and Wash. Wash could yell at him for a few minutes. Fluffy went airborne, squeaking a 'sorry!' to Melody before going to push Ziva backwards more. You need a time out! He squeaked, somewhat happy she couldn't understand spirit speak.
"What the--" Was just met with him tugging on her hair to get her to walk. No more talking, you'll mess it up...even more.
no subject
"What the-" What the hell were they up to? From what he could see around Puddles' neck, Ziva's Spirits were dragging her away too. Great. Just great. The last thing either of them needed was for her to take another dive. "Just- keep your feet on the ground!"
Hopefully she heard that. For now, he sighed heavily and let Puddles push him away.

Deciding to have another go around in town before leaving, Sora headed toward the station plaza. His Spirits zipped ahead... well, Bruce zipped ahead. The still unnamed Escarglow followed at his own slow pace, though he picked it up a little bit when Bruce squeaked about something. Following the bat's gaze showed that there was someone up on the clock tower. Sora couldn't quite tell who it was from the ground, but he figured they could get that answer soon enough if they went up there. As he turned to head into the building, though, Bruce started shrieking in alarm, eyes still on the clock tower.
He had a good reason to be alarmed, considering the person on top of the tower had just jumped off. All Sora could do was stare. Did he know any spells that would safely slow their descent?
no subject
"Busted." She muttered, ignoring the eyeroll from her spirit. "Take us down?" The spirit obeyed, heading towards the ground and landing a bit away from Sora. She hopped down, and Gibbs stretched his wings before settling down.
"Hi Sora." She said with a wave.
no subject
He composed himself a little bit by the time they landed. Mostly. Honestly, if he'd known sooner that the Eaglider was there, he would have been less startled. Bruce was less forgiving and proceeded to flap around Ziva's head, squeaking in flustered and worried irritation. Don't do that! What about your Spirits?! And the other persons!
"Hey, Ziva. I... Oh, calm down, Bruce." He sighed and shook his head as the bat calmed down only the tiniest fraction, "Sorry about him. When he's not being a wise guy, he's worrying too much."
no subject
"It is ok. That would be a normal reaction to seeing someone jump off of a tall building, caught by a spirit or not." She looked at Sora again. "Sorry about that, by the way. I guess I got caught up in finding a thrill."
no subject
Although, as Bruce's behavior indicated, not everyone was going to be so forgiving. As a matter of fact, Sora's dismissal of the situation caused the bat to turn around and scold him. Are you crazy, Person?! Tell her she shouldn't do stuff like that!
no subject
"Bruce." She addressed the spirit herself. "I am just fine. And I do not plan on doing it again."
no subject
When Ziva addressed him and assured him she didn't plan to do that again, he settled down a little. He was still pouting a little, though.
no subject
Noticing Bruce's pout, she dug in one of her pockets and pulled out a cookie. "A treat to seal the promise?"
no subject
She stopped to watch the woman go into freefall, less worried and more interested to see what the plan was here--there were simply too many factors around here for her to assume the worst. If it turned out Emile had been lending out her gun, though, there would be issues.
no subject
"Over there." She said, nudging Gibbs to get his attention, getting him to fly closer to where Chell was. Getting closer, she waved. "Afternoon!...I think anyway."
no subject
Her Komory Bat, meanwhile, whipped up to the pair, squeaking excitement at Gibbs. Oh wow that was great your person was like up there and then you did the thing like woosh and that's amazing you're really big I wish I could be big and do the thing with my person too!
no subject
Ziva hopped off Gibbs' back and watched as he landed near the edge of the building, watching the new bat squeak at him. He didn't say much back to the bat, just a few nods and affirmative sounding squeaks. Then, Fluffy showed up, this time doing circles around Chell. Hi new person! Who're you?
"Sorry about him. Just push him away if he gets too annoying."
no subject
Chell looked up to the clocktower, judging the distance, and giving Ziva a once over. Judging by her physique, likely not a simple thrill seeker. Though Chell wouldn't call herself a competitive person, she did appreciate a good comparison.
Bouncing back on the balls of her feet, Chell pointed over the rooftops, to where the train station was just visible. She raised her eyebrows in quiet invitation to Ziva, before hopping off the rooftop to speed along a fencetop below. Her bat looked after her, chittering as it figured out what was happening and zipping after. Oh! Race time! Bye gotta race hurry!

Their Person wasn't running laps today, but her ground eating stride could be difficult to keep up with when her mind was set on something. The lack of Moogle presence in other sections of the town that morning was an annoyance, especially when Carolina had matters of business to attend to, but she hoped to find at least one at the the tram station beneath the clock tower.
She was almost to the sloping path that led up towards the station when Lela made a startled sound, and the aqua-armored freelancer turned sharply to look at her. Then upwards, following the frootz cat's line of sight to see what it was that held the pink cat's attention.
Apparently the somthing was a human form, taking a leap off the tower proper. "What the hell..!"
no subject
What she hadn't expected was to run into Wash at the clock tower and get into a shouting match with him... I was just one of those days.
no subject
Either way, the Eaglider's appearance was unexpected and quite welcome; the identity of the jumper hadn't been immediately clear to the former freelancer, but when the giant bird circled the area a few times, it wasn't difficult to figure out. She crossed her arms and simply shook her head in reply to that wave, ignoring Lela's exciting bouncing atop Tobin.
She'd seen where the other woman had landed, but Carolina hadn't anticipated that there'd be more than just the other woman present when she got there. The fact words were being thrown back and forth at high volume was hard to miss as she made it up the hill, and as the identities of those involved in the argument became clear, Carolina came to a halt, hanging back to the shadows and herding her spirits to remain with her.
Well. Seemed like Wash was getting along swimmingly with everyone, lately.
no subject
When she was heading down the hill, she caught a figure in the shadows and turned. Noticing Carolina, her eyes widened, because she knew how loud they had been...she had probably heard most, if not all, of their argument. So for now, she just kept going, confusing Fluffy, who had slowed to say something to Lela and Tobin. He took off again, squeaking a Sorry! at the two spirits and their person.
Ziva continued until she reached the Tram Commons, only then did she slow down and rest a bit. If Wash had tried to follow, there were plenty of places for her to disappear into.
no subject
She had moogles to find. And if she happened to pass Wash on her way into the building, she gave no sign as to whether or not she'd overheard that rather dramatic explosion. At least the argument had had a legitimate source of contention (compared to, say, causing a fruit feline to cry...).
There was more than one route to the tram commons, however. And more than one way to lure in a hawk.
Ziva had likely moved around the commons a few times before a MEW piped up from beneath her latest rest stop. Only once she was sure she had Ziva's attention did Lela wriggle out to say hello, her Person suspiciously absent.
no subject
It was about then she heard a Mew coming from somewhere nearby. Fluffy most have heard it too, and he jumped down to land near her, trying to find the source of the sound. Gibbs stayed up where he was perched higher above Ziva, playing sentry in case there were Nightmares around.
"Lela? What are you doing here?" She then looked around. Normally Lela meant Carolina was around too.
no subject
Speaking of whom..
The woman in question wasn't that far away, although Ziva would likely have to move location a bit to spot her - bearing a heavy roll of something that might have been fabric over one shoulder, the ex-Freelancer made her own way across the other side of the square. Tobin trotted at Carolina's heels, a cloth sack balanced on his back.
She certainly wasn't going out of her way to approach Ziva, and Lela seemed happy to bother her instead.
no subject
"Do I want to know how much you heard of that argument earlier?" She asked the cat spirit, scratching at her ears.
no subject
The only immediate answer was purring, cherry tail wiggling in place while attention was given to Lela's ears, before the frootz cat tilted her head up and rested her chin on Ziva's knee. She heard a lot but she didn't really understand. But the words were Angry, just like they had been between her Person and WashPerson, except worse somehow.
no subject
Fluffy hopped over to sit on Ziva's knee, chirping at Lela. It was bad. Melody's person and his person got into a big fight over her flying with Gibbs...or maybe it was the clock tower part...he really didn't know. Ziva chuckled, knowing there was some sort of conversation going on at that point.
"Giving her the gossip there, Fluffy?" He just squeaked at her, Of course he was!
no subject
There was a mewf, before Lela licked Ziva's hand gently - it was not as rough a sensation like a regular cat's tongue might leave, and there was a definitely sweet scent left behind after. Poor ZivaPerson. WashPerson and my Person yelled when WashPerson made me sad. Her ears drooped. They still won't talk. Not talking is bad between friends.
no subject
There was a noise from where Gibbs was perched, and he jumped down to land near Ziva, pulling at her collar. He wanted to show her where the armored woman went. Get moving! Was the squawk under the collar pulling.
no subject
And the down comes Gibbs! There's a meow! of surprise, before the pink cat cranes her neck at him, fascinated. You're really big! Wow! ..Where are we going?
Because of course she's coming with you.
no subject
Another person. Was all he said, watching as Ziva stood up and brushed herself off before offering her open arms to Lela. "It may be safer if I keep a hold on you when we are flying." She wouldn't pick her up though. Not her spirit, and pissing off Carolina wasn't high on her To-Do list.
no subject
Another person, huh. What colour are they? Because even in human form, and not just as ponies, the People in dreamtime were pretty distinguishable from one another. She slid aside when Ziva stood, and didn't even wait for Ziva to finish her sentance before leaping up into waiting arms. She *loved* cuddles, whatever they were for. I've never flown before, is it fun?
no subject
An off shade of blue. He said, as Ziva climbed on his back, still holding Lela. Flying is very fun. He waited until Ziva had a good grip on his neck before jumping off where they had been sitting. He did a few laps around the area before landing where he had seen Carolina go through the door.
Ziva climbed off his back and looked at him. "What did you see?"
no subject
My Person! There's no denying the delighted meow that escapes Lela at Gibbs' confirmation, and she wriggled happily in Ziva's arms. She wasn't intentionally making holding her hard, but it was clear she was getting more and more excited as the laps in the air brought them closer to her new home.
She barely waited for Ziva to dismount before leaping from her arms and running to the now-closed door, scratching at it with her paws. It's too heavy to open. Make your Person help, please?
no subject
When they landed, Ziva smirked at Lela's reaction. "I have a feeling I know who is behind this door now." She pushed against the door, opening it enough for Lela to slip through before speaking up. "Carolina?"
no subject
"Ziva," replied the aforementioned Freelancer, busy detangling herself from her cat, who'd knocked the box she'd been holding right out of her arms. She hadn't even been gone ten minutes and that was the reaction. There followed a surprised 'mewf!' from the pink cat when she was promptly placed in the upended cardboard box, before the redhaired agent turned to her 'guest'.
The warehouse was still a bit dusty, but most of the crates had been removed now, and the heavy roll of fabric was propped to one side -- actually thick matting. It was amazing what the moogles could procure when they wanted. (And yet, oreos were still unavailable. Tsk.)
"How was the flight?"
no subject
"The flight was fine. The landing was bad though." She figured Carolina had heard the argument between her and Wash after she landed, so the veiled reference was all she was getting at the moment.
no subject
"Have to watch out for those - your own, and other people's." At least there had been a river to cushion York's crash. The redhead resumed moving across the empty space, lightly knocking the punchbag suspended on the other side with her elbow. "How long's that thundercloud likely to last?"
no subject
"Ah, the landing was fine. The welcoming committee was the problem." She rubbed at her forehead for a moment. "That storm might last for a while." She glanced around the room for a second, taking in everything that Carolina seemed to be doing with it.
"Nice place."
no subject
...Had Wash mentioned to Ziva his falling out (again) with Carolina? Perhaps he had, perhaps he hadn't, but either way: "You're welcome to stick it out here until it blows over."
There followed a soft huff of what might have been a laugh. "Not yet, no. But it will be. Actual residence is upstairs."
