[open!]

Who: Maine and anyone who dares
What: Maine Meet and Greet Growl!
Where: Traverse Town maine square
When: This week
Warnings: U for Unintelligible, S for stubborn, M for Maine

Maine has built up a little routine; sleeping in, light workout, breakfast, go fight some nightmares, lunch, go fight some more nightmares, dinner, wander down/fight nightmares, sleep.

He makes time to take breaks in the nightmare fights to feed and care for Mace, although his training methods aren't exactly the most efficient. He's been here how long and he still can't get the Pricklemaine to recall very well without a healthy dose of snacks.

The pricklemaine is devoted to his Person, but he's also easily destracted and wanders off often. Who did you find first, the Man or the Dream Eater?

"Fluffy! Where are you going?" Ziva shouted, chasing after the Komory Bat who was flying away from her at a high rate of speed. Apparently, he saw something that he was interested in, and wasn't going to stop until he checked it out. She and Ducky followed behind, then almost running into him when he had stopped around a corner, floating in the air and chittering at a Pricklemane.

"Oh, hello!" Ziva said to the new spirit, sliding to a stop, watching as Ducky did the same. He immediately hid behind her legs, because new spirits always made him wary...unlike Fluffy and his need for attention.

Ziva laughed as Fluffy did a few loop de loops in the air before going down to try to drag Ducky out from behind Ziva's legs. Come on! It's a new friend! Stop being shy! Ducky just squeaked, then louder when Ziva stepped out from standing in front of him.

She glanced up when she heard Maine walk up and seemingly growl at his spirit. "I am assuming he is yours then?"

"Oh yes, these two are mine. Fluffy and Ducky." She said as she motioned towards the spirits as she said their names. They acknowledged their names also, so the new guy would know who was who.

"My name is Ziva. I hope you do not think this rude, but are you a friend of Agent Washington?" It was the armor that may have given it away.

Ammy was back in Traverse Town long enough to grab a few more supplies and get some rest...she preferred staying in the worlds with more sunlight than not, even if they had their own problems.

She trotted down the street back towards the portal, with Susano and Chu in tow. At least Chu was behaving for now. That is, until Susano was alerted to the other Pricklemane nearby, and bounced up to meet it. Ammy followed along after him, wanting to make sure he didn't get himself into any mischief...and spotted Maine just ahead.

She came to a halt and sniffed warily at the stranger. He was dressed similarly to people like North and Wash, but not quite the same. And she couldn't help feeling that build was similar to the creature they kept bumping into on the spaceship world. Was this a friend or foe?
yabigfurball: (Kinda embarrassed...)

[personal profile] yabigfurball 2013-11-20 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
That sound was familiar to the growl she'd heard before in the spaceship world, too! But...this guy wasn't trying to attack, and it was obvious that he had Spirits with him, too. Ammy sat and cocked her head at Maine in confusion.

Susano, meanwhile, squeaked back at Mace with excitement. This was a new Pricklemane! Chu was getting antsy, though, and stomped his hooves. His person had better be careful!
yabigfurball: (What the heck's that?!)

[personal profile] yabigfurball 2013-11-27 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Susano squeaked back to the other Pricklemane: Just ignore Chu; he's really uptight! You should've seen him earlier! The Cyber Yog, meanwhile, was still just focused on whether the stranger was a potential threat or not.

Ammy perked her ears up in further confusion. What was with that kind of dismissive wave? Despite Chu's nervous bleating, she stepped a little bit closer, and barked a greeting at him. All of the armored people at least tried to speak with her. Did this one not want to bother?

Chell herself had built up a similar routine--hey, a simple plan worked no matter who used it. She even had similar issues with her dream eaters, namely Kri-Kri, the fussy Cyber Yog who kept wandering away out of sheer dedication to being obtuse.

Most often, when two Spirits met, they'd engage in excited, playful greetings. Whatever Mace might have done, though, Kri-Kri caught sight of the stray Pricklemane and tensed up immediately, lowering his horns and warbling a warning note: velcro was inspired by parasitic plantlife that ensnares unaware hosts.

Kri-kri bucked his head and bleated out another distressed little warning. Holding your breath for long enough grants the power of teleportation.

The various noises of irritation and distress brought Chell running over, exasperated more than worried as she went up and smacked the ram Spirit on the nose. He gave a snort of discontent.

The Komory Bat fluttering after was the one that looked to Mace and its person, snuffling an apology while Chell glared down the unruly Cyber Yog. Sorry sorry he's sad and grumpy and learning how to play sorry!!!
statisticallyterrible: (I might not listen but I won't interrupt)

Unruly ram sufficiently chided, Chell finally looked to Maine. A perceptive eye might have caught the faintest twitch as she recognized the armor of their last major opponent--but he wasn't the same, she remembered from before. She resolved to a small nod for him, before her gaze fell to his spirit, to see if it was all right--the jumping about seemed a good sign.

The bat huffed in pride, attempting to puff out its chest--not that one could easily tell with a nigh-spherical creature. She is the very toughest of Persons she is going to make him be a very good friend too! Your Person was very brave too he was not scared of my friend at all!!

Life had gotten a little easier for Roxas once he'd learned that he could bring his skateboard with him world to world. Traverse Town was a whole new world now, as he explored new places to perform tricks. He was attempting one, grinding down a rail, when he noticed Mace at the bottom, and he didn't really have a chance to stop.

He jumped at the last second, sailing over the pricklemane, but landing in a heap on the ground. Bouncer the Meow Wow would have gone to check on him, but there was a new friend to be made!

Roxas stood up, a little shakey after his fall, checking over himself before answering. He had a few scrapes, but nothing serious. There was no blood or anything.

He backs up a bit when he sees Maine. While he doesn't really mind the armour guys, some of them seem nice, this guy's definitely the biggest. And, well, that's intimidating.

"I wasn't trying to hit him."

Bouncer in the meantime wuffed approvingly. He is good at that. He can sometimes fly higher but he needs help.
seasaltkeys: (I don't know)

[personal profile] seasaltkeys 2013-11-27 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Roxas shrugs. Unless they were nightmares, Roxas wasn't one for initiating friendly fire.

"I'm fine," he says, after the nod. The box he'd landed on wasn't however. Not that Roxas was concerned. "Are you a friend of Agent York and them?"

Noble Six had been having a difficult time settling into a routine since she'd arrived, but she'd been trying... But at least she'd gotten used to the Komory bat she'd gotten on arrival, though she'd been too busy with him to consider trying to add another Dream Eater to her team.

The bat did notice the Pricklemane and was flying over to say hello as its partner followed. Six was less than thrilled.
skysmirror: (Surprised)

CR for these two? :3

Xion has her own routine that includes Nightmare hunting, runny any errands needed, and helping out at the shop. It's not so set in stone that one could predict where she'd be at any given time on any given day, but a little variety is good.

Nightmare hunting is good for training Dream Eaters, though, and Xion has quite a few of them. She was testing Manda the Toximander and Flare the Sudo Neku as a team when she ran into Maine. It was difficult not to notice him--he looked like he could give Aeleus a challenge. He looked like he was trying to find something, too, which was enough to get Flare interested. What was the new Person looking for?

Going back and forth between Ponyville and Traverse Town had become something of a way of life for Rarity nowadays. While she enjoyed Traverse Town, she did miss her work space being just so, and Ponyville did have everything laid out just the way she liked it, as well as a few supplies the Moogles hadn't been able to procure for her.

It was Spike who noticed his fellow Pricklemane as they were on their way back. He squeaked excitedly - a new friend! - and bounced his way over. Hi! Hi! Hi!

It took Rarity a moment to realize where he'd gone and start trotting after him. "Spike? You know you're not supposed to run off in the middle of town!"

It is not a Person or a friendly dream spirit that man and pricklemaine encounter first, but the seething red eyes and dark shaded nightmares of Traverse Town. Two large bears in the midst of a pack of meow wows seem to pour out of one of the alleyways, attention set on two brighter, bright eyed spirits that aren't quite as lonesome as they look.

True, the tamasheep is attempting to make a hasty exit as he banks around a corner, checking for more open space to lure the hoard behind him, but the cyan-painted hebby repp sitting on his back is more than happy to cough fireballs back at the enemy, causing the meow-wows to scatter in fear.

Neither Tobin or Dax seemed to have noticed they're leading this gaggle into the path of 'friendly' company. Not that that would likely to stop them at all. Just where was their Person, anyway...?
