Time to shuffle of--wait

WHO: Emizel and whoever wants to humiliate him further
WHERE: Ponyville
WHAT: New world means seeing what sorts of new things it has, right?
WHEN: Not that long after it opened up, although, certainly not right away either. (Half a day or so?)
Warnings: Awkward equine

It didn't take long for news of a new world to open up. Didn't find any word of what was inside it yet though, although, Emizel doubted it could possibly be a hostile as the last one. Even if it was, it'd be quick just to take a peek and come back out (thankfully nothing from these worlds knew how to use the keyholes too). He spent awhile just to get ready, then made his way over to the Mother of Invention, where the door was supposed to be.

"There it is," he said to Moxie. One last look around the room was a good idea before doing anything else first. Even if the place was supposed to be much safer than it ever had been, it still made him nervous. But, everything looked like it was in order.

Emizel moved closer, took a deep breath, and gave the portal a poke. It worked just as all of the others did, nothing different so far, that is until, he made it on to the other side. For whatever the reason, the demon suddenly flopped onto his face.

"What--!?" he had tried to use his 'hands' to prop himself back up but his grip was gone...in fact, he seemed to have no hands to speak of anymore. Waitwhat.

"W-what's going on?!" Emizel got himself to stand up this time, although he was still worried and freaked out that he suddenly had hooves that he clearly had no idea what he was doing. That evidently he managed to trip himself off the bridge, with Moxie following after to help.

At least the good thing about bridges is that it usually meant there was water. Once Emizel learned how to stand again, and a couple light healings from Moxie, he staggered near the edge; being much more careful where he stepped and ogawd wants to avoid falling in.

"...I'm a horse?" well, an adorable green, blond haired unicorn, but who was counting? But he did look just like the ones on the intercom...well, smaller. So maybe, this world was...

Oh yeah, town. He could go look at that, or go back from which hecame and pretend none of this happened, whichever.

Sorry, but it's too late to pretend this didn't happen.

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH - " Pinkie Pie leapt out of the nearby bushes, obviously not having any trouble with her own hooves. In fact, she was steady enough on them to be wearing a contraption made out of several different musical instruments on her back, which she promptly began to play all at once.

"Welcome welcome welcome!
We all shout HOORAY!
Welcome welcome welcome
To Ponyville TODAAAAAAAAAY!"

There was a small explosion of confetti, and Lord Tubbington III flopped out of the bushes on the other side of the path, rolling onto his back to wave his legs in the air. Pinkie shrugged and trotted over to pat him. "It's okay, we'll work on the finale later."

Jumping out of the bushes might've not been the best thing to do for a skittish demon pony who still hasn't gotten their footing right. He practically leapt a few inches off the ground there, luckily managed to avoid falling into the river, and stayed crouched down once he touched the ground; ~~almost very cat like.~~ ...Oh. It was only that pink one again. Sure doing a wonderful job on that whole 'trying to act dignify' thing. Part of Emizel now kind of wishes that it was some sort of threat just so at least he would've been justified.

"...Ponyville?" it was spoken in the utmost deadpan he could do despite being scared to death a few seconds ago. Moxie though, thought that was the most epic introduction he had ever seen, and just wagged and barked when it was over. And there was a huge Meow Wow!

"Yep! This is where I live!" Pinkie hopped up onto her Meowjesty's back to gesture out over Ponyville. "Well, not where I live-live, I guess this is probably where I go when I'm in Ponyville and I have a dream about being in Ponyville! You wanna get the grand tour?"

Confirmed one question then. Judging by the look of this world so far this does seem like a place Pinkie would be from....so bright and colorful. Dear god it looks something even Fuka would imagine.

"I uh.." Emizel paused. Getting to know the world better might be better for later, no doubt the Nightmares and keyholes will be appearing here soon too. He had better be somewhat prepared, as humiliating as this all might be.

"I...guess?"

"Great! C'mon!" Emizel might not have to worry about getting used to walking - Pinkie just hooked her hoof around one of his and started dragging him along down the road.

"Okay, this is the park! Without anypony else around I guess there's not all that much happening out here...normally it's really busy, though! If you go down that way, you'll get to Fluttershy's house and then the Everfree Forest!"

Yeah he might've still needed that hoof, nearly fell on top of Pinkie as soon as she began pulling him away. Emizel was going to need to master how to keep balance and walk faster quick!

Good thing the park wasn't too far, he managed to make it in one piece. Although, he wasn't exactly sure what he was supposed to be looking at if there wasn't much happening. Good for future reference, maybe. One ear was raised while he searched and listened.

"Anything in the forest?"

"Naaaaah, not really. Just some monsters and animals and an old abandoned magic castle! And Zecora's hut, but she's probably not there 'cause this is a dream!" It was too bad, really, but Pinkie didn't sound all that upset about it. She hadn't much expected to find her friends in the dream world, they all had so much to do back home! "If we ever need potions or something we can maybe go borrow hers, I don't think she'd mind!"

Perhaps it had been his time in the Organization that had ingrained this in him, but whenever a new world presented itself, Roxas felt the need to go do recon. So he stood with Bouncer and Flipper, ready to go through the new portal.

He ran through and immediately went head over heels before landing with an "oof". When he tried to get up, he faltered.

"What the..." he muttered, looking down at his new hooves with black and white bands around his legs. This was not what he was expecting. He turned around, seeing he had back legs as well. He shot a dirty look at Flipper, who was laughing at him, and tried to stand up.

With Bouncer's help he made it to his feet, but stood on rather wobbly legs, hesitant to take another step.

That thud when Roxas entered sounded all too familiar. Although it was going to take Emizel a bit of time to go back to the bridge to see what happened, Moxie had no problem at all. For once, the Meow Wow was much faster than him.

...And Moxie had no idea what to really make of this. Though he recognized Bouncer! And that was probably enough of a hint for him. Hiii~

Finally, the little green pony managed to trot up behind.

Bouncer had been letting Roxas lean him and get used to standing on four legs, until he saw Moxie. Friend, he barked and bounded over to say hi to the other Meow Wow, causing Roxas to topple over at the sudden loss of his support.

Considering his Meow wow's tendency to run off, that was going to get annoying rather fast.

Still, he managed to pull himself into a sitting position before seeing the green pony trot up. Now it was just embarrassing.

Emizel stopped where he stood. He noticed Moxie getting along well with the other Meow Wow, but he does that to just about everyone. But the other pony looked familiar still, so....

...Wait a minute.

"...Roxas?"

Oh man, at least he's not the only one making an idiot of himself.

If Roxas had anything to say about it, he figured the world was trying to make fools of all of them.

He looked up, and exasperated smile on his face.

"Yeah, it's me. Hey." He hobbled a bit closer.

"You're different too!" well, obvious statement is obvious. Emizel tried to give Roxas a little more space, given all the wobbling, although doing so made him almost loose balance again too.

"How did this happen?"

"I dunno," Roxas replied, thinking. "I think it has to do with the magic of the world. Sometimes you have to change forms."

He didn't really get it, but there were worlds like this in Sora's memories and it was easy enough to figure out that this was one of them.

"It should go back to normal once we leave though."

Emizel frowned a little at that, but it was good to know they should return to normal if they leave. He'd be happy to get out of here and this world of rainbows and sunshine, but really, that can't be done either, at least not exactly.

"...This is where we need to go next, right?" Emizel started to walk again, almost stumbled, and stopped after getting off the bridge. "We can't just leave."

Everybody knows you need to get pass the current stage if you want story progression, of course.

Roxas followed behind slowly, one foot at a time.

"I guess so. We might as well check it out, right? Have you seen the town?"

He's not really sure what to expect, so he's on his guard. As much as one can be when you're also trying to pay attention to your feet.

"Not yet," Emizel said while staring up at it. The town looked harmless enough, with the bright colors and all, but many demons would find that and other similar reasons for wanting nothing to do with here. Although, maybe all can agree that the dead silence was really creepy.

"It's a good place to start."

"Let's go take a look then."

Somehow he figured it would be a ghost town like the rest of the world, but somehow a magical pony land seemed less threatening than an empty spaceship.

Even at Roxas's pace, it didn't take them long to get there.

Yes, there was too quiet. Emizel kept searching in hops to find something, anything, even if it was just a moogle. But nothing much. Although it did not look like the town had been abandoned for a long time.

"..On second thought, maybe we should tur--" he heard something creak. No way that sound could've been made unless there was a presence around.

"I don't think we're alone," Roxas said, looking around. He knew this feeling. Nightmares were probably going to show up at any moment. He wondered if he could summon his keyblades, but even if he did, how would he use them?

This was not good.

Emizel was trying to move in reverse but with not much practice with hooves yet it wasn't easy. On top of that he had no access to magic, or at least, he didn't think so. Now really wasn't a good time for company.

Good thing Moxie was kind of there to back him up. The Meow Wow got in front and started growling at whatever might've been hiding. If it was a Nightmare, it was going to get a warning.

Bouncer scooted forward to back up Moxie. If they weren't about to face down an enemy they weren't prepared for, it might have been cute to hear the Meow Wow's attempt at a growl.

"You can't use magic in this for, can you?" Roxas asked quietly, trying to think about how he'd seen the other ponies do it.

"N-not like this.." Emizel had never felt this helpless since his promise. He hated to say it, but they were better off running.

"Let's... Let's not worry about them, just get out of here."

Much as he hated it, Roxas had to agree.

"Right. I don't think I can use my keyblades like this," He admitted. "Flipper, Bouncer, cover our escape."

The meow wow barked, but Flipper was already on the job, throwing his ball as hard as he could at a nightmare.

As the battle heated up now, Emizel tried a gallop. This wouldn't be too bad if he knew what he was doing. Once again the demon pony misplaced a hoof and fell down, and left him right open for a Nightmare that completely ignored the other Spirits.

...At least until Moxie barked and rammed right into it, sending it flying a good distance, enough that Emizel could get back up anyway.

"You okay, Emizel?" Roxas asked, stumbling but managing to stay upright. Somehow galloping was a lot easier when you weren't paying attention.

Flipped followed up on Moxie's attack, throwing his ball with deadly accuracy.

Xion had come to take a look at the new world, too. Recon was important, and most worlds weren't as bad as the Mother of Invention--which itself wasn't so awful once the invisible enemy was gone. Still, just in case, she'd brought Pooh and Lightning with her. It couldn't hurt to have her two biggest Spirits with her, right?

She hadn't counted on changing form. Not that she hadn't been aware it could happen; she'd seen Sora's memories. Once she got over the surprise, it was fun. Lightning was even really nice and didn't laugh while helping her walk, while Pooh let her lean on him for balance.

So Xion was walking, if a little shakily, by the time she saw another new arrival whose voice was familiar. "Emizel?"

Emizel twitched a little, but managed to stay out of the water. That voice.. sounded familiar, but he can't really place why so soon. Especially when what made it he was pretty sure wasn't a pony.

But, once he thought about it more.

"..X-Xion? That's you?"

Oh, good, Xion hadn't meant to startle him that much. Apparently, knowledge that some worlds required form changes wasn't common. At least she'd been able to guess that if she'd changed, others must have, too. Hearing her new friend's voice coming from a pony hadn't been as startling as one would think.

"Yeah, it's me. I guess we turn into ponies here."

Well that was all good to know (sort of), but..

"How do we change back?" Emizel didn't even know hos he changed in the first place, did it require something to return back? None of the other worlds ever did this.

Knowing is half the battle?

"I think we'll be back to our usual forms when we go back to the other worlds." That's how it was in Sora's memories. "It happens on some worlds; you have to change shape to visit them."

"But I never changed for the others," apparently Emizel missed the part about only some worlds were different. "Why is it only here?"

And he would love to change back as soon as possible. Although he was getting better at the whole 'walking on fours' thing, it still wasn't best.

"Some worlds are like that, and you don't know before you get there." It looked like an important bit of information had been missed, so Xion tried phrasing it a little differently. "The other worlds here didn't need us to be a different shape."

If Emizel wanted, they could head back for the portal. Xion wouldn't say no. In fact, it would probably be a good idea to get used to this new world little by little. Getting used to walking on all fours could take a while.

"I think I could've done just fine getting around not looking like.." Emizel tried to get another look at himself, ~~preferably without having to spin around.~~ "...This."

Once he was done with that, he huffed and lowered his head. He didn't even have his pockets anymore and that was a weird feeling too!

"This world better go by easier than the last one!" of course, no more invisible enemies at all would be great, period.

"Maybe, but if everything here is made for ponies, then being human might make things hard." Xion had seen Sora's memories of Atlantica and knew that sometimes a form change was needed just to be able to get around.

Not having pockets was annoying. She'd have to find a way to work around that. At least she could still summon her Keyblade.

"It already is, I guess. No invisible enemy."
