❆ Four ❆ Beyond the Stars
Characters: Jack & Open
Content: Jack has heard about the space ship but hasn't gotten a chance to head over yet. Although he might regret this decision later...but that's yet to be seen.
Location: Mother of Invention (starts in hangar, might move elsewhere)
Time: Day?
Warnings: None
March, Snowball, and Jack decided their first stop would be the hangar. There wasn't a particular reason for this other tan Jack wanted to check out real spaceships. He'd seen Jamie play with such toys before and Jack had flown around various launch sites in his time, but there was something very different about the Mother of Invention. It was like something out of one of those television programs Jamie and hundreds of other kids watched or the video games. He couldn't help but be impressed by them.
Of course, he knew it wasn't all fun. Jack knew a thing or two about being invisible and after all of the tales of the invisible menace attacking people he was determined to try and figure that one out. He knew he had to be cautious, but very few things had ever really hurt Jack so as someone who was nigh immortal he didn't have the same caution that others might have. March and Snowball on the other hand were a different story. The two Dreameaters stayed close, their ears perking up at any strange sound.
Jack stepped into the hangar and wouldn't you know it...that was when the hoard of Nightmares appeared. Cyber Yogs and Thunderaffes mostly with a few Peepsta Hoo fluttering near the ceiling of the hangar. Jack looked around and brought his staff up, "Well...so much for a nice space tour."

He had made his way down the hallways slowly and carefully, both him and his spirits, Bouncer and Flipper, on alert, until he made it to the hanger bay. He hadn't really been in here before, and was amazed at all the different vehicles.
Roxas was looking curiously at a warthog before his attention was drawn at the sound of fighting. He summoned his keyblades and ran to help Jack.
"Need a hand?" he asked, tossing oathkeeper at a peepsta hoo like a boomerang.
no subject
It really seemed like more of a rhetorical thing though since Roxas had already launched a keyblade at one of the owls. That seemed to be the cue and all hell broke lose. March bunny hopped into the face of the nearest Cyber Yog, smacking it up with her ears and fighting like a mad break dancer. Snowball flew over several of the Thunderaffes, calling their attention to her and away from Jack. She would dive bomb them as they crackled with electricity.
Jack, meanwhile, brought the ice. He swept forward with his feet barely touching the hangar's floor. He drove the staff up with a crack into the muzzle of the nearest Cyber Yog and froze it's jaw shut with the same movement. The creature bucked and tried to stab at Jack with its horns but he whirled around and smacked it again, this time on the back of the head as he leaped over it. The Cyber Yog slipped on the sudden ice and Jack flipped in the air to drive it down to the ground. "Woah, boy."
no subject
"Watch what you're doing with that ice!" he shouted, as Flipper took the opportunity to slide onto it towards a Thunderaffe. Bouncer was meow wouncing his way through a cyber yog.
Roxas focused on his magic for a moment, alternating between fire and blizzard.

The Nightmares were dwindling between the keys, the ice, and the Dream Eaters, but it was still very overwhelming in terms of numbers.
no subject
"Cure!" he shouted, pointing Oathkeeper at Jack, while Flipper attacked the cyber yog, that was finished off with a meow wounce from Bouncer.
Roxas looked around, trying to find another good place to attack from. There had to be a way to take a bunch of them out in one go.
no subject
Now all that was left were a few ground-based Nightmares.
"You've got another ice spell? I have an idea." He knew Snowball could sometimes increase the magic being used. and he hoped it would work now. Jack face the Nightmares on his side of the room, his staff glowing even brighter. He could freeze them all...he had it in him he knew but he didn't want to freeze Roxas so it might work better if Roxas froze his side of the room. And Jack had a feeling that if he made the room cold enough such spells would be more effective.

"What are you thinking?"
no subject
no subject
"Freeze!" The bolt of ice flew out from his keyblade, colliding with a nightmare and spreading along the ground.
no subject
He figured the same would work for ice magic. With that said, Jack made sure to put as much ice into this attack as he could. His staff blazed a brilliant blue with the magic and he slashed it through the air, "Hah!"
Ice washed over the remaining Nightmares in all directions and a good chunk of the floor was frozen to boot. The Nightmares collapsed in their frozen states and shattered.
no subject
"I guess we showed them, huh?" he said, turning to look at Jack. He was a little reluctant to move, given the state of the floor. Though he supposed that fire magic could probably help with that.
His spirits, however, were taking the opportunity to slide around.

Jack chuckled, "Whoops." He didn't sound like he regretted it. Jack walked over the ice seemingly unaffected by the slippery surface and it didn't seem to freeze his feet either. He pushed at March with his staff to guide her along and she squeaked in protest. "Hey...this would actually be a pretty good place to play hockey...although maybe not with a bunny." He looked back to Roxas as if to get his opinion.
no subject
"Yeah, we did work pretty well together." Roxas had grown used to fighting on his own, so it felt kind of good to team up with someone again.
He watched Jack walk across the ice. He didn't think he could do it without slipping.
"What's hockey?"
no subject
He explained as he went, "It's a sport. A game you play on the ice. You hit a puck into someone else's goal using special sticks." It would probably be easier to show Roxas. However Jack didn't really have the equipment for it. "Maybe some other time." He mused.
no subject
"It sounds like fun," Roxas admitted, after he was done thinking. "We could try it after you find the right equipment."
And after that invisible thing was taken care of.
no subject
Jack scooped up March from the ice and gave the large hangar area another look over. "So I guess it was only Nightmares in here. I haven't run into anything else yet."
no subject
He wasn't sure what to call it. The invisible attacker seemed like a mouthful.

Jack picks up his staff and starts strolling over to one of the smaller crafts. He jumps up to stand on the cock pit and then peers in. "I wonder how hard it is to fly."
no subject
He came over, looking it over curiously before climbing up to the cockpit.
"There's a lot of buttons and stuff in here. It looks pretty tough."
He glanced around, just to make sure no one else was there. Not that he expected to be yelled at, but he might as well make sure.
no subject
The other problem was how would they fly it inside the craft. Jack also didn't know how to open the doors out into space. "Some of the others are originally from here, right, do you think maybe they know?"
no subject
And he doubted he could fake it as well as an actor could.
"They might. We could ask them. Some of them are pretty friendly, like that York guy."
no subject
no subject
"I'm gonna ask one of the armour guys though."
