Now What?
Characters: Etna and open!
Content: Etna hangs around the 1st District, pondering over various things.
Location (including world): 1st District, Traverse Town
Time of Day: Evening?ish?
Warnings: ...Etna? |Da
Tracking down a moogle wasn't too hard, nor was coaxing it to go through it's tutorial again of what to do with the items that she'd been told would make a creature. Following it's directions, sure enough, she soon found herself staring at a... dog? Cat? ...Catdog?
Etna wasn't really sure what to call it. This thing was going to help her fight? Really? Not that she really needed the help or anything, in her opinion. It did, however, bring back memories of when she'd been a child. She'd had a pet mystic beast for a pet, but not for very long. It was a time she remembered both fondly and sadly.
"Ah, you're making me all nostalgic," Etna said out loud, reaching over from where she sat on a staircase step, to pet it on the head. Apparently the dream eater liked the attention, as it rolled over happily. Amused, she continued to pet it's stomach looking down at it thoughtfully at it.
"Well... I guess I should at least give you a name, huh?" she said, continuing to speak aloud. Of course, nothing came to mind. "Ehhh, I'll just have to think about it, I guess."
Names were not exactly the foremost thing on her mind after all. So... she was in some dream... thing and she was asleep. Damn. They'd been going to head to Zenon's castle soon... Would the others find her and wake her up? Or would they just leave without her if she didn't show? Somehow she suspected the later was more than likely. Then came the question, would they ever wake her up? What if they didn't come find her? Or what if they didn't win against Zenon? She could be left sleeping for some time if that happened. That wasn't a particularly pleasant thought.
Well, maybe... the Prince and Flonne? He had come looking for her, so maybe-- Ugh, had she SERIOUSLY just thought of the Prince rescuing her from this? Great. Look what this place had made her do. No, no she wasn't going to assume the worst yet. Either way, it seemed she'd be stuck here, for now.
Sighing to herself, she looked back at the Dream Eater at her feet. "Well, now what?"

Sighing to herself, she looked back at the Dream Eater at her feet. "Well, now what?"

"Looking for something to do?" He'd done some dream eater hunting for cash earlier; Sparky was getting better at it every day, and Delta was a big help. As always.
no subject
"You could say that," she finally answered.

"Ah, yeah, I'm kind of new, I guess," she replied, leaning back against the higher steps. "Etna," she added.

Her idea of an ideal place had a lot more sun... and probably sand, along with some palm trees and a beach. Yeah, that sounded good. However, treating this as a vacation didn't sound like the worst of ideas to her, either. She wasn't sure really how she was going to deal with it yet. "I think I'm still trying to get past the whole, I'm asleep and stuck in a dream world thing."

"So, hey, how many of you armoured guys are running around here, anyways?" she asked, a bit curious. Given the practically matching armour, they must know each other. "At first I thought you were this other jerk who talked to me on the communicator thing."

Delta winks into view, hovering next to York. "York, as you are aware, narcolepsy is not a contagious..."
"Yeah, I got it, D. Etna, this is Delta, my partner."
no subject
Etna sat up at Delta's appearance. Well, well, what was this~?
"Uh, hi," she responded, while curious, not totally sure what she was dealing with here. It looked like some kind of... hologram?
no subject
"Delta's an AI," York contributed. He wasn't totally sure she'd know what that was; it seemed like it might be hit or miss here. Still, she had to be used to something like Delta appearing, or she'd have been more startled at seeing him. Though, when it came to that, no one seemed too surprised, since most of them had met Theta already.
no subject
"Oooh, an AI, huh?" Wow, these guys were pretty high tech. "Let me guess, you got spaceships and stuff too?"
no subject
no subject
"Eh, stuff like that is more an Earth thing," Etna explained. The Earth was far more advanced than the Netherworld, but they'd messed that place up pretty good because of it. "The Netherworld gets plenty of movies and stuff though."
no subject
no subject
"Eh, though I guess the Netherworld is more magic than tech, but who needs things like space ships when you have dimensional gates?" she said with shrug.
no subject
"Dimensional gates sound pretty convenient; I'd probably pick that over the long way of traveling if we had 'em at home."

"So, let me guess... Rifle? Shotgun? Gatling? ...All of the above, perhaps~?" Given he appeared to be a soldier, she was fairly certain he probably was proficient with guns.

"Guns are pretty handy, but I'm more into spears, myself~"
no subject
"I don't know. Still trying to figure that out myself. Strange place."
no subject
"Eh, it's not that strange," Etna replied, with a shrug. She found the situation stranger than the actual place.

The pricklemane is now moving closer, looking at the strange dream eater.
no subject
Etna's Meow Wow still was at her feet, rolled on it's back, apparently content.
"So... you aren't the guy who was talking to me on the communicator earlier, huh?"
no subject
He's ignoring his pricklemane, figuring it won't cause too many problems. Shouldn't be hard to call it off later, right?
"No. Definitely not. My name is Church."
no subject
"And, yeah, the Netherworld. I'm a demon~... name's Etna. Beauty Queen Etna~" she said, proudly giving out her hacked title. Although, around this bunch, she was starting to wonder if 'Demon Lord Etna' would be more effective.
no subject
There's an even longer pause. That's a new one. "Uh... Beauty Queen? What the hell kind of demon title is that? I'd think a real demon would have a more... Impressive title."
no subject
Well, she was right, it seemed. "My title was "Demon Lord Etna", I just had it hacked because I liked the sound of "Beauty Queen Etna" better, okay?" she responded.
no subject
no subject
"But... Eh, I'll think about it," she responded, not wanting to outright say she was going to take the advice, especially given she was seriously considering it at this point herself. As much as she liked her current title, she didn't have this problem in Veldime... though maybe it helped that most of Veldime had known how dangerous she was, whatever her title.

"Well, I'm way stronger and faster than most humans," she replied, thinking a little of the humans she'd associated with over the years--certainly some could get pretty powerful. "And with my power, if I wanted to, it wouldn't take too much effort to level this place. Good thing I don't really feel like it, huh~?"
no subject
Epsilon pauses to think that over. "Yea. I'll pass on demonstrations in that case."
