3. Just Another Crack in the Wall
Characters: Bolin & Open
Content: Bolin waits outside of the crack in the wall...what will happen?
Location (including world): Twilight Town, The crack in the wall
Time of Day: Early afternoon -- takes place when people are exploring the mansion
Warnings: None?
Bolin stood back against a wall and watched as another group of people went through the crack, clearly heading for that mansion just past the forest. Bolin once again found himself debating whether or not to follow and bit his lip as he also thought about what Roxas had told him of the mansion. He didn't like ghost stories and he didn't like what Roxas' true reason for avoiding the mansion were. It scared him to think that he or one of his friends could disappear just like THAT. But, he also didn't want to let his friends get hurt just because he was too afraid to go through the crack in the wall.
He sighed and turned away from the crack once again. Maybe he'd find Roxas and get some ice cream. Roxas had sounded like he could use a distraction and Bolin KNEW that he could. Mako Jr. and Ping seemed to sense this and drew closer to Bolin in an attempt to comfort him. Bolin smiled down at his dream eaters, "Thanks guys. I appreciate it. You probably want some ice cream too, huh?"
Ping bounced in excitement, nearly bucking Mako Jr. from his back, the Hebby Repp having to cling tightly to Ping's horn.
Who else would join Bolin?

He focused on fighting nightmares, on devoting his energy to that. It's easier, fighting nightmares, he knows how to do that. But his fighting takes him over by the wall, and he freezes. Bouncer rubs up against his leg, and Sparkles clings onto him. He wasn't supposed to be here.

"Roxas!" Bolin called out to him, kicking up a brick with his earth bending and flinging it into the head of one of the nightmare sheep. It bleated out in surprise even as it tumbled over and disappeared. "Hey, man, what are you doing out here?"
no subject
"I guess, I just, wound up over here."
He should have been paying more attention.
if you'd rather have a longer nightmare fest let me know and I'll change
"Same. I was thinking about what you said and, well, I was hoping I could stop people from going. But I think everyone is too curious to listen." Bolin rubbed his neck, "Well, that, and Wash threatened to hurt me if I tried to block the crack in the wall."
I think we're good for now
"I'm gonna guess people have gone through then," he said after a moment's thought. That worried him, a lot. What if something was triggered?
no subject
"Yeah, a few. But, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe being a group will help them." He could see Roxas was troubled by this and he didn't want him to be.
no subject
"It's still not a good place. They shouldn't stay there for very long."

"I..I wouldn't mind getting ice cream." He wasn't one to turn it down, and it seemed like a preferable option. He stomach wasn't flip-flopping in fear anymore, so he definitely had the appetite for it.

Bolin turned away from the crack in the wall and started leading the way to the nearest ice cream place. He'd traveled through here enough that he knew the way without getting lost any more.

Bouncer barked and made a beeline for Ping, hoping to start up a game of tag, while Sparkle took her spot on Roxas's shoulder, her ear hugging his head so that she wouldn't fall off.

Ping was of course eager to join in any kind of playtime. He yipped loudly and hurried after Bouncer once he was tagged. The playtime cause Bolin to chuckle. "These guys can really be funny sometimes. You forget they can help you in a fight when they start acting like this." But Ping was a good fighter, though perhaps not as strong as Kyoshi.

"It's hard to imagine some of them can even fight at all."
Bouncer was like that. He didn't seem to have a shard of aggression in him, waving it off and instead asking for a tummy rub or some other form of attention.

Luckily, the ice cream shop wasn't too far now and Bolin started fishing out his munny. "I'll buy okay."
no subject
"I guess he's got a short temper?" That had been a close one.
"It's okay. I have munny."
no subject
"You sure?" Bolin didn't mind treating a friend.
no subject
"Yeah, it's fine. I mean, unless you want to. I'd owe you."
no subject
Bolin shrugged. "Suit yourself." He then walked up to the ice cream stand and requested a Sea Salt Ice Cream bar, the local favorite. He stepped aside once he had it and waited for Roxas to order. He was polite enough to wait before ripping the wrapper off.

"Do you want to walk around? Or just sit?" Roxas asked, glancing at some of the tables, and swatting one of Sparkle's ears away from his ice cream.
