For the moment, Kanji was dismissing his Persona and going in with his own hooves, leaping, kicking and bucking whatever he could with a furious shout and language that didn't really belong in front of royalty. It would be too risky to try to hit those bats with the same kind of electric spell he'd just used: too many chances to hit someone else by mistake. Didn't hurt that physical combat had always been his forte, after all.
