It looks like it's working to Kanji! But damn. That's a neat trick, too. He's not used to seeing someone throwing off multiple types of magic so easily - well, he's not really used to seeing someone throwing around elemental magic without a Persona in any case. Everything's new.
...However, it does mean that he's having to dodge the fireballs, even if they are homing in on their targets. Focusing on one opponent at a time, now, trying to kick the things to pieces - keeping an eye on the Spirits, though.
