"I'm aware of the fact," Aeleus answers as they step through the portal. Unlike Even, however, he doesn't immediately trip over himself, which suggest that he's been to this world at least once before.

(Which does raise the question of why he brought Even out here, but that is a question that can be discussed once Even has his feet back under him again.)
