☆ Morning in Ponyville
WHO: Carolina and YOU!
WHERE: Ponyville
WHAT: Carolina opts to explore the countryside around Ponyville, rather than visit the little town right away.
WHEN: Two days after the portal opens.
Warnings: Freelancers. Cranky Carolina. Lela heartbubbles.
Sleep had been a long time in coming, in spite of of the dreams having ended and a new world opening up. It wasn't a world Carolina had been particularly thrilled to hear about, and she'd viewed reports from others with barely hidden distaste. Or disbelief - Theta as a baby dragon had been as much of a shock as North being a unicorn!
Having missed out on the resolution of matters on the Mother of Invention hadn't helped either, of course. But sleep did arrvive, eventually, without theaid of interference of a certain tama sheep, and having learned that avoiding transformation simply wasn't an option here, Carolina had resigned herself to a four footed fate.
A very awkward one, apparently, although only Lela had been present to see the initial pratfall involving tangled limbs and heavy armor. At least the experience seemed a shared embarassment for all non-natives thus far, but she'd been glad no one had been around to see it!
In spite of this, she'd learned a lot in the first hour or so after her arrival, and where she had started with slow and staggered steps, had now gained more confidence with practice: each hoof was lifted with deliberate, if high and measured steps. Turning was still a bit of an issue, sure, but walking? That she had down pat. Surely trotting couldn't be that much more difficult?
Carolina's aqua colouring was a bold contrast against her red mane and tail, making her easy to spot at a distance. No wings hadn't been a surprise but had been a secret disappointment, far more so than a lack of magic. The frootz cat spirit rode pillion, wearing her ponified Person's helmet cheerfully on her head as the pair followed a grassy path alongside the river, heading downstream from the portal bridge. It seemed as good a place as any to start exploring!
