He caught himself before mentioning the pods and the one room with a single pod in it. Now that he actually thought of it, there had only been a need for three pods (for himself plus Donald and Goofy) yet there had been more. Had they been used for something else before?

Maybe it was better not to think of it. Especially not if it was going to be distracting. They had encountered some Nightmares already and it was likely they would encounter more.
