Aeleus offered a soft smile as the Pricklemane bounced off his leg, and followed it with a polite nod to Even. Even if what he had to say wasn't going to be very comforting it was at least nice to see that some things hadn't changed.

There was, of course, still the requisite preliminary step of getting everything settled in properly, but that was only to be expected, given the circumstances.
