Goats are called RAMs because of their excellent memory.
WHO: Chell and anyone
WHERE: Traverse Town
WHAT: Chell's training to break in her new Spirit
WHEN: A few days after the Meta fight, not long after the portal opens
Warnings: Standoffish Spirit and potential roughhousing
While other dreamers investigated the new realm through the portal, Chell decided her efforts would be better suited to helping someone else get used to their new hooves. The newly generated Cyber Yog, however, didn't appear all too impressed as Chell bobbed the balloon toy in the air.
Until quite recently, Chell had maintained a firm stance regarding Dream Eaters: they were a liability, simply too much of a hassle to maintain in a fight. In the battle against the Nightmare Soldier, however, other combatants had been able to use their Spirits for a much wider variety of tactics. On top of that, her Komory Bat had proven a reliable asset in the fight. Perhaps she'd been a bit quick to disregard the eager creature's efforts to learn.
The bat now swerved eagerly in front of its new companion, squeaking encouragement. Like this, see, you've gotta go after the floaty ball, look, it's fun, see, and when the Person moves her finger like that, you've gotta move to this side, you try it, come on it's fun! The bat was positively glowing with enthusiasm, thrilled by its Person's new decisions to make it a new friend and play together with them. She'd gotten so many more happys now that she could sleep better!
In contrast, the Cyber Yog stood back, watching the other two's game as if he found it personally offensive. The Cyber Yog is the most professional and regal of Dream Eaters. The Cyber Yog's energies should not be wasted on toys. Fact: training toys are specifically designed by Persons because they don't think their Spirits are good enough on their own, and will make your feet hurt. This is why the Cyber Yog has hooves instead of feet.
Chell might not have been aware of the specific nature of the ram's disdain, but she had too much personal experience to not recognize he was trying to size them up first. She swatted the toy high in the air, for the bat to chase. Hopefully, he'd deem them worthy with time.

As for how she felt about it, well. She'd shot it in the face and watched it explode. That was as much closure as she could get out of a problem, generally.
The balloon was knocked to a midpoint between the Spirits, an invitation to see who would get to it first. The bat trilled its challenge to the others as it dove, It's mine it's mine I'll beat you there!
Chell finally brought her hands up, laid flat against her cheek: she was just glad that she could sleep again.

"Were the nightmares...bad for you this time?" Still, he knew the benefit of a good night's sleep.

Chell huffed sigh and jabbed a thumb downwards. The weeks of haunting dreams had been a trial all their own. It wasn't as though sleep came easy to her anyway, but she appreciated what little she could get.
About to return his question, she realized the game had come to a stop, and held up a finger to pause. Walking over to her obtuse new Spirit, Chell gave it a long, hard scowl. The ram snorted, avoiding her gaze, before nudging the balloon with one hoof. Satisfied, Chell picked it up again and tossed it back to North.

"He's a bit of a stick in the mud, isn't he?"
no subject
Chell huffed and shrugged, turning back towards North. It was too early to call him a lost cause, but that didn't mean he wasn't a pain. She cast a look over two his own two Spirits, cooperating so easily with the game, and jerked her head towards them. Had hey popped out so well-trained?

"Well, it's the first time Tank's ever wanted to play like this. Usually he's a lot more reserved. Cactus can be a terror though."

She bit her lip, considering. Her bat could be a pain to deal with, but it was reliable, at least. It was good to know that they could break out of their natures, a little, but... she crossed her arms. It got more uncomfortable to keep thinking about them as properly alive.

"I'm sure he'll come around eventually. I think it just takes encouragement."
Granted, he wasn't the best with animals, and computer goats probably topped that list.
"Your bat seems good at that."
