I Can See What's Happening (What?) And They Don't Have a Clue (Who?)
Characters: York and Ziva
Content: York actually fulfills his previously mentioned wingman duties and/or hopes he didn't mess all the things up for everyone forever.
Location: Traverse Town, Second District, near the hotel
Time: Evening (really)
Notes:If the chat were with Wash it would be from "Kiss the Girl."
York was pretty sure this was all his fault. He hadn't even been thinking about Wash and Ziva's potential dating thing when he yelled back to Wash, it was just that Wash was there and Ziva was there and it was the first quip that came to mind. Not meaning it didn't make it less his fault, as Delta was wont to remind him, not that D had too many constructive ideas on how to save a relationship that hadn't happened yet from crashing and burning.
Approaching Ziva had to be a start, though he was doing it in armor in case she agreed that it was his fault that things had gone south and felt the need to express her displeasure with impromptu sparring. "Uh, hey, Ziva. I was hoping we could talk."

"About what?" She asked, making a motion with her hand towards her spirits to keep playing. They'd stopped when York showed up, making sure he wasn't going to cause any trouble.
no subject
"About Wash." That's general enough, except it isn't after the struggle match thing.

"He what? I think I misheard you." What he just said had thrown her. And she was pretty sure at this point, she was hearing him wrong.

"So, how much damage have I done to our friendship? Do you know?"

"You do realize he is going to kill you for telling me this, right?" She asked with a smirk.

"I mostly threaten bodily harm. I notice people have a tendency to take me seriously and I do not have to get violent."

"Back to the original topic of conversation... Any idea where I can find him?"

"It may not make a difference, but would you mention that I would like to talk to him?" Although part of her was convinced that would make him run the other direction at this point. "And make sure you emphasize talk, not maim, injure or kill."

"But first, I need to find someone and get him to listen to me."

"Oh, and one last thing." She said, before bringing her hand up to smack him in the back of the head, not caring if he was wearing his armor. To her, the motion was the point. "That is for starting all of this."
